Thank the Lord they chopped Victor’s howler from the video. His decision to pull back a ball that was five yards from goal, with no one except the keeper to beat, will haunt me for weeks to come.

To be fair he was wide, so was unlikely to score. Pulling it back, would have been the right option, if he passed it to one of our players!

He was wide, but with enough of an angle to smash it across the keeper into the far corner. If it didn't go in, the keeper would've probably only been able to parry it into the crowded 6 yard box. He chose the wrong option and the cutback was straight to the defender. Very poor. A new striker should be a priority (along with an attacking creative midfielder) and then send Adeboyajo back to Barnsley.

I was down the barrel of it, he was in a perfection shooting position from close range. Laces through the ball hard and low & it was 2-1 Rovers. The collective hands on heads & cries of NOOOOO from everyone on the East Terrace (closest to the family stand) really was something to behold.

I was at home, as I could not make the game. He was wide and further out than 5 yards, they even showed a replay and they agreed a pass was the best option. Many times when I have been at a game, I think similar, then when I see it from other angles I think, it didn't look like that at the time lol. As pirate said, of he shot, the rebound might have feel to one of our player's. But that would be 50/50. If you try and pass to one, you have a better chance of finding a player. One of those, where if he shot, we would have said, why didn't he square it. I think a more confident striker would have had a shot and that would have been ok. But it wasn't as bad as what you think IMO. 50/50 on whether to shoot or pass.

It was made worse for the lad that his pull back (into a packed area) fell to the feet of a defender. I’m not even sure if he had found a blue & white shirt, they would have had enough time to sort their feet out to get a shot away. It’s gone now in any case, we will have to go and beat Fleetwood and get ourselves back into that top 4.

Having just watched hat back I feel the same as I did at the game: why was the first goal disallowed?
I thought Leahy did brilliantly to win the ball and Sercombes shot was superb. I thought Leahy was very good all game.
Have I missed something obvious?

No way was that a foul, almost as if he gave the pen to make up for it.
Thought Jak maybe could have pushed the ball away for the first, rather than into the crowd. Probably being harsh though.
Ah well perhaps losing exposes a few areas for improvement.

The ref signalled Leahy took the defender out, although it looked a similar type of tackle to Kilgore's at Plymuff, were the ref ruled it was a fair tackle and not a pen.

Watching it back I don't think Leahey fouled his man. He slid and the Dons player ran into him.
I saw yesterday at Rodman was at fault for the first goal, but its even worse on the replay. Fully expects the ball to go out and then doesn't close down the man when he keeps it in.
The second goal he sticks at home instead of closing down the man too.
Rodman has been one of our best performers the past few weeks but had a stinker yesterday. One of those we dust ourselves down and go again!

I have watched it slowed right down, seen photos of the tackle and can see nothing to rule that out. Crazy
