Why are we not wearing it? Yesterday surely we could have warn it. Have fans been ripped off? If I was shirt sponsors I would be very unhappy?

Agreed, looks as if everyone has been conned. I suspect the yellow has become a lucky shirt to wear, we haven't lost when we play in it. Probably wear it on New Years day.

Surely supporters purchase an away shirt knowing it is purely a change strip. I’m also sure they knew the colour when they handed over their hard earned cash. The amber is a beautiful kit and as mentioned, is extremely lucky for us. Four wins and a draw now. I hope we run out at Stadium MK wearing it.

We bought our 14 year old son the blue shirt for Christmas, and now he has to have small adult size we have to pay full price. I'm not even sure the amber kit is available to purchase. It seems to me that having a different shade of blue for the way kit means it will still clash with a lot of home colours, most clubs play in varying styles and shades of blue and red, so surely the Amber would have been a better choice. Just saying.

I never understood the logic f a club who play in blue & white having a blue away strip, it's a nice shirt design though!

People can buy an all-blue rovers replica kit, which they've never been able to do before.
We can use our 'traditional' yellow and black kit if we need to.
We make money from replica kit sales.
We make money for charity.
Not really sure what there is to complain about.

Nope, having read through my post again I can't see I've made any specific complaint about the blue away kit not being used for away games. All I have commented on is the unusual situation of not being able to purchase a replica of the kit that is being worn away from home. Just saying. P. S. My lad loves his new shirt and will be wearing it to MKD on Wednesday.

What I really want to know is why they don't stock the yellow kit in the shop? Can't see it discussed anywhere else on the forum.

Extract from the linky thing: What it says on the tin! The limited-edition amber third kit will be worn by the first-team for a select number of Sky Bet League One games this season. Club sponsor, Utilita, has kindly donated their branding on the front of the third kit to their chosen charity, Prince's Trust. Only 50 of the shirts will be made and at the end of the season, the shirts will be auctioned off, with the funds raised donated to the Prince's Trust charity.

And there we have the answer! Kudos to the club for arranging and organising this, and to Utilita for giving up a portion of their brand exposure for a very worthwhile cause. I personally know of one young man who is now in full-time employment and has his own flat as a direct result of The Princes Trust. Thanks also to Hudson for putting up the link.
