Away terrace is 850 and all south stand is 950. 1,800 in total I believe the away terrace is more than that. I'm sure before (e.g. Alfreton and D&R games where we kept the away terrace for us) it was circa 1,100. Isn't there an empty piece of terrace between our fans and away fans that we could use when it's just our lot.

Yeah that's my understanding, we lose about 300 in the segregation of the east terrace and away terrace, when it's all given to home fans no need to segregate so 300 extra available

Evening chaps.
Looking forward to the game on Sunday, hopefully be a good one. Some interesting comments about our away following with one poster saying they are surprised about our numbers. Cov have been well supported away from home for years now (one posters eluded to us travelling in numbers) and we’ve sold out every ground this season bar Pompey on a Tuesday night when we took 1,000. It’s been a similar story for the last few seasons, partly helped by the well documented issues with our owners, The Ricoh etc.
In terms of the FA Cup, we have a reasonable pedigree and have traditionally always supported this compo in numbers. We took approx 9,000 to MK last season and always sell out allocations from the third round onwards. Just under 2k is a decent effort for a fairly unattractive fixture...no disrespect btw.
In terms of us barely having any fans at St Andrews, we average about 6k horme fans give or take etc. Not bad considering the years of sh** we’ve had to put up with. As a club we have an all time average of approx 20k but obviously the last 15 years have taken their toll on the support with relegations and constant issues with our owners.
Anyway, how’s Clarke-Harris doing? Glad he’s scored regularly for you...

How do you manage to have a seemingly competitive playing budget when you only average 6,000 home fans, when that's a 50%(!) drop on last season's average attendance?

This must have been the game prior to the 5th round meeting away at Barnsley in 1999? Where we were easily dispatched. I recall beating an Orient side in the previous rounds at The Mem by 2 or 3? This is one for the historians amongst us. I remember that game we won 3 - 0 with 3 late ish goals. I also went to the 4 - 1 drubbing at Barnsley what a load of arseholes the police were that day, total bullies and arresting loads of gas fans for being drunk. Totaly out of order, Wankers! I met a Barnsley fan on an island in Thailand a few months after and she said we was the worst behaved set of fans she had ever seen .

Rovers supporters appear to be generally underwhelmed when it comes to cup matches; I do not expect the home gate to be very impressive on Sunday, and especially after the last three results, if the team plays as poorly as they did yesterday, then I expect Cov will probably win.

Obviously it's frustrating for some that areas are closed but the fact is if people had bothered to go to previous games over the last few years then chances are these areas would be open.

Looks like all the stand seats have pretty much gone again - do wonder if they are sold to Rovers fans or if there will be a lot of away fans buying them up. Seems the whole thing has been badly planned.
Are there any Rovers fans in South Stand ? Do Coventry have all of that ? If so surprised we don't have a way of handing the South West stand to away fans, would have made more sense than them being mixed in the home areas as I am sure that is what we will end up with.

The stands sold out for the last FA cup game v Bromley, hopefully Sunday's game is equally attractive to those fans. Although i don't really understand why the SW Stand is closed when there seems demand for seats, not sure we can open it up to COventry fans as the entry/exit is via the West Stand turnstiles. Let's hope Coventry decide to rest Matt Godden after his consectuve hat tricks, we get excited if JCH just socres in consecutuve games.

You'd have to be a bit desperate though to regisiter to buy a ticket to go in our home end just for an FA Cup R3 tie, it's hardly a play off/promotion decider type match. Your attitude, and I'm not saying you're wrong, sums up what the FA Cup means nowadays. There was a time where teams in L1 and L2 would throw everything at the 3rd round of the cup in the hope of a big tie next round, and also just because it was the 3rd round. Closing sections of the ground would have been absolutely unthinkable. Sad how little it all means now. Fans are just following the lead set by the Premiershit teams. All started when Man U pulled out. Thing is, if we win and get a glamour tie next round, the big boys will send their reserves because its them that dont give a sh**. It's not lower league clubs and fans who are devaluing the FA cup.

All the areas out of view of the cameras are closed. From the camera angle it will look like a decent crowd. Great work by Goz and the team.

Must be possible to let away fans in via South Stand and away turnstiles ? If were not setup for that now surely an easy fix for the future especially with West Terrace closed.
