Big risk though. Agree if he gets fit, they will have a bargain. If we had him on loan and he had barely played because of injury, if we then signed him, everyone would be moaning. Look at Little etc and he's played more games than Thorne.
Yeah I wouldn't have wanted us to sign him as we have enough injury cases already and you can really gamble on players like that with a small squad.
Exactly. We have a significant number of players currently injured or deemed surplus to requirements. It would be a huge gamble to take in new players (either permanently or on loan) with a fragile track record. There are a number of gaps in the current squad that need filling. Unless this is done, we will limp through the rest of the season picking up enough points to avoid relegation but wondering what might have been if the dice had fallen differently.

So if we had a player on loan this season and he had only played a few minutes all season, you would be happy that we were making it permanent?? Personally I wouldn't want to take the risk.

If we had a big squad and better finances then id have been happy for us to sign him, because if you can get him fit (and that's a big if) he is Championship standard minimum.
I'd sooner we steered clear of players with a long injury record. I know Bodin worked out well but seems we got rid at just the right time!

According to the post’s Q+A, Rovers have been offered the chance to sign Benny Ashley-Seal on loan from Wolves.
Also looking at defensive options so there could be some truth in the Haunstrup rumour.

Looks a good finisher from the limited amount I've seen of him. I play football with a couple of big Wolves fans who rate him highly.

Probably play the same place as me then Is that the over 60's walking league? I know the coach of the Weston walking football team and played a friendly against their over 50's (I'm 36) team once. My team arent walking footballers and they spanked us 4-0. Walking football is a lot more difficult than I ever imagined. Found out afterwards most of the Weston players were former semi-pros and one was also on the books of Aberdeen.

Can you sign a player on loan for a month these days still or does it have to be until the end of the season? Signing Joe Day for a month or two to provide some competition for JVS whilst Jaakkola is out injured might be a smart move but if it is until may, having 3 keepers on the books might be a waste or resources. I hope we get Day on loan. JVS doesn't fill me with confidence. Signed for AFC Wimbledon on loan.

I thought Wimbledon had no money as they had to find £11m to finish their new ground, I would have though Day would have jumped at the chance to play nearer to home in Bristol than travel to London. As far as the Wolves Striker he was dragged off at half time v Man U on his debut, after he'd hardly touched the ball and hasn't appeared anywhere near the 1st team squad since.

He looks far better than JVS with the ball at his feet, although the forwards still did nothing with it when they got the ball anyway! !
