Hi Guys,
My dad is over 65 and wants me to purchase a ticket for him for Sunday’s game online.
Would I need to purchase a concession ticket or is that for only Under 16’s and I would need to purchase an Adult ticket for him??
Regards
Oasis

Hi Mate, On the website for the print at home it says East terrace concession £5 so looks like it will be that one for my father.
Cheers for the reply.

What is classed as a concession out of interest?

What is classed as a concession out of interest? Once in the morning and again in the evening......😁 If you are a really good boy....😋

Concession is senior or child I believe and if you choose that option it usually asks for date of birth.

For normal match day tickets it appears to be U21's and over 65's, by coincidence the club's Tweeted yesterday about fans abusing the concession tickets but still doesn't explain who can buy them!

Do I need to print out the tickets I got online or can I just scan the ticket on my phone? Never bought online before?

"If you have chosen Digital Delivery, please login HERE to access your tickets which you can show on your phone when you arrive at the stadium"
Seems you can just show them on your phone?

I wonder how much the club actually save vs. Not opening half the ground.....i get it for rd1 & 2 but rd3 is ridiculous. I’m not taking my kids for example with the family section not open. Could have been a good atmosphere with cov selling out but it’s a terrible atmosphere with west etc closed. Puts us at a disadvantage from the off and just another sign of the boards zero ambition and cost cuts at any opportunity imo

I went to the Brighton game and it we were so crammed in on the East enclosure that the only place to stand was on the steps- which is obviously a health and safety issue. This is the furthest we have got it the cup for a few years, Coventry have sold out and yet we are only opening up half the ground. The online ticket purchase is confusing as hell (I had to phone up to ask what Popbox3 and Popbox4 were....which kind of defeats the object of ordering online!). I know we have a ramshackle ground and I can live with that but do we have to run the same way? On another point, concessions.....is it cheaper for over 65's or those getting their OAP? I am one of the first of the unlucky ones who now has to wait another year for their OAP (now at 66) but dare I start asking for a concession...especially after the recent tweet about people getting in on kids tickets etc.

Atmosphere is always rubbish when a stand is half full and fans are spaced out. If it looked like tickets were selling well, I'm sure the other stands would have been opened up.

But why is it assumed that a 3rd rd winnable fa cup game on a sunday afternoon would be half empty?? It’s not a trophy game or lg cup game which historically attracts far less fans. Even more strange that this decision would have been made when we were flying in the league. Like i alluded to; the cost of police, stewards, catering staff etc must have been anticipated to be greater than the crowd turnover but I don’t think thats true. Odd, not many other clubs would do it.

Thats what you get when u move to a turn style ticketless system. Been happening at grounds for years with very little way to stop it unless you man the turn styles, but of course thats the clubs benefit of moving to self scan - you save on turn style operator wages and hope fans spend money elsewhere in ground (bar, pastys) instead of waiting in long queues - cant have it all
