I make it our cup replay will be our 13th cup game this season. Garner still won't get a lot of time to work on things, with 2 mid week games coming up.
Obviously I would rather be in the cup still, but no wonder a lot of player's look knackered lately!
I would rest as many player's as possible on Wednesday night.

Even if we lose against Stevenage and Coventry, that's a 57 game season! I'd like to see some or most of Hargreaves, Tomlinson, THD, Davies, Adeboyejo and Bennett given game time on Wednesday.

Why, Wednesday games looks very winnable as does the cup this season, if we can just avoid an away tie at Pompey. Hopefully the two newcommers will arrive and start, as can THD, Davies and Bennett so plenty of options. Not sure where we stand with Reilly I assume he can't play if we want to loan him out again.

Yeah perhaps take the small fine it’s nothing compared to what weve made from the fa cup and play only kids and fringe players coming back from injury. That way our top players who have been flat out and are obviously shattered have a full week of recovery/ training and time spent on the training field with their new manager.

Would rather do well in the league and fa cup. Not saying play a total youth team. Just saying, if anyone needs a rest, I would rest them. Not worth risking any player.

Will be a mix. We wont risk fine and BG will want his first win. Yes if Reilly plays any part of any game he can’t be loaned out

I agree entirely. Starts for THD, Kelly, Bennett, Tomlinson, Hargreaves, Victor and co are a must. We SHOULD have more than enough in reserve to win the tie.

I believe with the squad we have, we need to play our strongest side to win any game, don’t think we should be too arrogant to think we can beat Stevenage, with a youthful team

JVS
Rodman Davies Craig(?) Kilgore THD (Kelly)
Hargreaves New ACM Upson (Sercs)(2nd half) Bennett (Tomlinson) New Striker (Adeboyejo)
Strugglling to come up with replacements for Rodman, Craig & Kilgore but we seem to have plenty of options for the other positions to still put out a decent side.

Yeah this match is about bringing the likes of Davies and HD back , resting the likes of Craig not playing our strongest side and win at all costs

Not about being arrogant and thinking we'll win whatever team we put out, it's more that the efl trophy is bottom of the priorities for many.

Not sure it makes any difference what fans think if BG sees it as a chance to earn decent money and making a name for himself form getting to Wembley then he'll want to win, plus he might not get an easier chance for a few weeks to win his first game!! Doncaster have a league game on Tuesday so at least they haven't put their feet up since NYD.

That's one of Garner's main problems. If we can't come up with replacements, it's know wonder why a lot of them are tired and having to play through injuries. Upson has looked tired as Rodman has not been getting forward as much. Could play a either Kelly or THD at right wing back, if either are comfortable on that side. Depending on how long little as hare are out for, we could see a right back come in. Got 3 left backs now and no proper fit right back.

I was thinking more the fans not being arrogant, I agree the manager might see it differently, I'm actually not that bothered either way.

For the actual club though (not the supporters) I suspect it's higher given the tight budgets and mounting debt. The EFL trophy can be fairly lucrative for teams that go all the way and we've always put out a strong side for it.

Luc Noble is a promising young centre back and captain in the U18s. Has also captained Wales at various age groups. A possible option.

It maybe bottom of the pile to you, but I’m pretty sure the club will want as much revenue as possible. It’s another game of football we should be aiming to win

I would be quite happy if we simply didn't bother to show up for Wednesdays game to be honest. Sham of a competition.
Would be flabbergasted if BG played anything other than a team of youngsters and fringe players.
