Think Bennet given a hard time here, like TN it has not really worked out, when we signed him I remember being quite influential but that influence is long gone. I hope he finds new club and wish him all the best. Hard time?!?! I would say he's having it easy. The blokes getting £4.5k a week and strolling about like he couldn't give a toss.

How do you know he is on that? Plus why would he say no if that is what he signed for us on. Has hardly play for ages, even when DC was here his game time was limited, can imagine he doesn't feel that enthusiastic. Yeah we should try to get rid, but why does it have to come to giving players abuse.

He’s a disgrace. The contract we gave him, if he looks after his money reasonably, will set him up for life. But it has killed his career as he seems to have no ambition to kick on and prove himself again. It’s 3 managers that have refused to play him. It’s not like he had a grievance with one. He’ll look back on that in years to come and surely think what a waste of his talent.

Is there any evidence that he’s “strolling around like he couldn’t give a toss”? For all you know he might bust a gut on the training ground every day. Not being picked doesn’t necessarily have to equate to being lazy.

Can anyone else still believe he's here taking up a decent wage each week, hasn't the bloke got any morals when all his teammates are putting in a decent shift each week?

He's back! www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/a-very-good-professional--3932443‘A very good professional’ – Ben Garner explains how Kyle Bennett worked his way back at Bristol Rovers It appeared Kyle Bennett’s Bristol Rovers career was all but over a month ago, but he is back in the fold after impressing Ben Garner in training. Bennett, 29, was told he could find a new club in January, but being Rovers’ best-paid player priced out suitors – the majority of whom were League Two clubs – and he remained on the books when the window shut. The playmaker seemed certain to be exiled to the under-23s for the rest of the season and a return to the first team seemed beyond him. An exit from the Mem remains likely in the summer, when Bennett will have 12 months to run on his deal with the Gas, but Garner believes he can make an impact in the meantime. Bennett reappeared on the bench for the Shrewsbury Town game on February 29, and on Saturday he made it onto the pitch for an enterprising 25-minute cameo against Southend United – where he was unfortunate not to register an assist after playing in Timmy Abraham. The former Portsmouth and Swindon Town attacker is likely to be involved again against Sunderland at the Mem on Tuesday, and ahead of the game Garner was full of praise for Bennett. “With Kyle there was an opportunity for him to go out in January, which didn’t happen,” Garner said. “Once the window closed I said to him ‘you’ll be judged the same as everybody else’. “That’s all I can do, I can’t go on past rumours or things that have been said or what’s happened, all I can judge is what I see every day and how people are. “Kyle’s a very good professional, conducts himself tremendously well every day. He’s very careful with his preparation and his diet, everything that he does, and he’s trained really well, so he’s deserved to come back into the squad. “That’s what it will be judged on each and every week, whether that’s a senior player or whether that’s an under-23 player that comes and trains with us. “I want to see players with the right attitude, the right dedication and then everyone gets a clean slate and an opportunity to prove themselves.”

This was always likely to happen. The last throw of the dice for both. Leopards never change their spots, and Bennett is what he is. He will sparkle and tantalise on the ball yet produce the sum total of FA.

“That’s all I can do, I can’t go on past rumours or things that have been said or what’s happened”
Yet more “I don’t like to make excuses such as the length of the grass” stuff. Very snide, hinting at some previous drama. Should keep that in house.

Now Garners said that, I think he really has put his job on the line. Bennett scores the winner tonight, he's safe. No change in Bennett and Garners got to go before Rochdale.

It's just yet more evidence that he doesn't have any real ideas or if he does any real plan to execute them. On the one hand he wants to do everything in his own long term plan way - whatever that is. On the other hand he wants to make the same mistake the last two have and pick this bloke.
