See the Swindon manager has confirmed that he is on a high wage. He has said he wants to sign him, but he's on a very good league 1 wage, not to mention league 2. He goes on to say, that they could only afford to pay 20-25% of what we are paying him!
Does anyone know how long he has left on his contract??
So even if we can loan him out, I expect we will end up paying the majority of his wages.

If you read the piece with The swindon manager he says about a loan with a clause to buy him at the end of the season, if was out of contract they wouldn’t need to buy him.
He’s got 18 months

He was so bad last night! Almost need to get rid at any cost. Not DC’s finest moment.

If we’re asking him to take a 20 or 30 per cent pay cut with another year, that’s something we could maybe do. But we are in no position to get anywhere near what he’s on at Bristol Rovers." Another year the key part here, he’s not going anywhere unless we cut our losses

F*ck me, hang your head in shame DC. I'm a big DC fan. But he did better when he was signing player's out of contract, giving them one year deals. He struggled when he gave out longer contracts. Bennett, Nichols etc. Just our luck. Player's on short deals did well and went for a fraction of the price. Player's on longer deals, did rubbish and we got stuck with them! Think he panicked after Taylor and the 🐍. Went the opposite way.

F*ck me, hang your head in shame DC. Two things to bear in mind: He was the replacement for Bodin that DC crowed to the press about. Now we know why it took so long for Bennett to sign for us, DC probably had to keep going back offering another 6 months each time until, at 3.5 years, Pompey decided they weren't going to stand in our way and ripped his contract up. Love DC to bits but this signing was probably his lowest point with us. Truly shocking.

We also signed Mensah for a reported 80k, even if the lad was on 1k a week by the time his contract is up next summer we would have paid a minimum of 250k for 3 underwhelming sub appearances. This would be the worst (biggest waste of money) in our history, surely? To think some Gasheads label TN with such a tag.

A very poor judge of players in league one. Payne Nichols and Bennett alone have probably resulted in at least one of the millions on the debt.

Garner took the gamble and he didn't come true. Kind of life the past few years with another... Perhaps BG wanted to try a few heads outside of the league whilst the transfer Windows open as he might not of had a real chance (as said in the BP article) to see much of the training ground. It's been a hard slog to come in as manager at Christmas, and whilst the Window is open, trying to get some business done with a group of players he doesn't even know if and who can work in his system yet. I'm as unhappy as the next gas-head at no wins in 5, but I can appreciate the difficulty here. Had BG won 1, and drew another, I think the mood would be different towards him, and I can see why even that 1 win might not of come yet. 🤞 Hopefully Bennet can be told the same as TN, followed by some swift and positive recruitment.

Highly doubt that’s the case.
Probably a case of making it look like if they get him then the club has gone out and spent a fair wedge, and if they can’t it’s not down to not trying.

Cost us nothing except their wages but what a waste. Wasn’t the likes of Kenneth reported to be on like 2.5k plus too? Back when we handed out money to players looking for their last few clubs.

Bennett should have been out of door long before Nichols. You could imagine Bennett looking OK in training, he is shocking on a match day though. No end product, no pace, tries to beat players he doesn't need to beat. Lightweight.

The players you’ve listed actually made appearances. Terrible ones, but appearances nonetheless. With Mensah we may as well have thrown 250k + into the nearest drain on Muller Road.
