Well all hes done is rip the team apart tactically and player selection! Has he? Other than the experimental XI he played in the Checkajoke Trophy, the lineups have been fairly similar to GC’s. The only differences are no Ogogo and O Clarke - who have both been unavailable to BG due to injury - and no Nichols, who BG is (understandably) trying to shift due to the wage budget. And in terms of the tactics, they’re probably slightly different from GC’s team, but they haven’t been anything close to ‘ripped up’, IMO. well yes he has that clear for all to see so why cant you???

To be fair, plenty of managers before have sent their assistant out to do an interview after the game. People moaned about listening to Marcus Stewart too, as I recall. No big deal for me.

You're all mental. Maybe he didn't give an interview because 'fans' left their seats early to abuse him in the dugout. God knows. If you are calling for him to go then you know sod all about football. It's that simple. He inherited an injury ravaged squad playing sh** football that everyone hated. He's trying to get us playing a proper passing game and that takes time. Doncaster were really good today and deserved the win. Everyone needs to chill out and understand that BG is goung nowhere, and nor should he, until at least this time next year. BG is the way forward. I hope people are looking forward to their humble pie. Good post. It would be madness, and not just financially, to sack a new manager three weeks into a 2.5 year contract.

Most do it after a decent win or performance, not when you haven't won in your first 6 games and are struggling for ideas. Poor decision and doesn't look good for him.

I think it's different when you are a new manager ...people expect to hear the take directly from the gaffer. I think he chickened out.

So what Father Ted didn't always do them nor Darell clarkiola Fair enough, but being a new manager i still think it is very poor, i am more than happy to give him time in the job but it is important to connect with the fans. Perhaps he wanted to decline the interview because he was angry and did not want to say the wrong thing, he seems a likeable bloke to me and I think he will get it right.

Of course what’s missing out of this discussion is the reason why he didn’t do that interview. Whilst I agree it doesn’t look good on his part given recent results etc, and I am not defending (or indeed for that matter denigrating him) I think it’s only fair to know the actual reason he didn’t do it. And I have no idea what that reason may be....if you do know (actually know that is) rather than thinking/speculating you know please share.....

Not at all. I don't know if he will be a success or not. Nor do you. But appointing a manager to do a job over 2 seasons and then not giving him anytime to do it is crazy. It would also cost us a fortune. I'm not denying he needs to pick up some points, and soon. But maybe we were due a bad spell? All clubs have them and almost everyone here would have agreed that we were in a false position. Garner walked into a situation where a one dimensional squad had been blighted by injury and were clearly tiring. I'm not saying I agree with his every call, because I don't, but I certainly won't be judging him just yet, never mind calling for his head.

Poor show, should have faced the music, he picked the team and set the tactics. We were a shambles. Tactics? Where were they then?
