I’ll renew because I don’t support Staines or Garner or the handful of players that probably don’t want to be here I support Bristol Rovers . All that lot will come and go and I’ll still be there. I renewed in the summer after we dropped to non league and that says it all. It’s my club not there’s in that respect.

Undecided, if I’m honest I probably will, but getting more disillusioned.

Yep, faithful and true! It keeps me out of the house on a Saturday and tbh if I decided against renewing every time Rovers hit a bad patch of form in a season, I’d never have a season ticket in the first place. I’m as disillusioned as everyone else about things off the field but I don’t think stopping myself attending games is the answer. 👏 Good post.

Most of the information that the AQs are destroying the club come from people I trust even less!! Perhaps I shoud rephrase that, if you are content the ALQ's are doing a reasonable job of running the club then why aren't you going to renew your season ticket? Problem is if fans stop do renewing their s/t's in numbers there will be no club to support in a year or two. 2 years of utter sh** to watch football is part of the problem.

Wont be renewing either of my STs next season. I may change my mind, but very unlikely as things stand. Been disillusioned for a few seasons now and really only keep going to see people I like. Strange you should say that mate.... I've only been down a few times this season (mainly for health reasons).... But the only thing I miss are the people down there....

If fans stop going they can rest in the knowledge that they have contributed to the club's demise. Like lambs walking into the slaughterhouse, what utter rubbish, all you are doing is lining the pockets of the current private equity company. Let’s all go and be happy clappy , good people have been driven out by this egomaniac.

I think you are right, just because I don't buy a season ticket doesn't make you less of the Gashead and definitely doesn't make you part of the problem. How on earth is handing over a fair wedge to the club show you're dissatisfied with what is going on, pretty pathetic protest against the owners giving them your money.

Due to work commitments (technically I could have to work 3 Saturdays in the month) I haven't had a season ticket for the last 5 seasons but try to attend as many games as possible. For me, as I can only attend X amount of games then I'm probably going to go to them regardless of where we are in the table/how sh**e we're playing.

I am just concerned that people are not going to renew, it creates a self fulfilling prophecy.
"The club will never invest in the team" will become the club cant afford anything else.

"The club will never invest in the team" will become the club cant afford anything else. :-( Age old conundrum though... If you pay, you are tacitly supporting them. If you don't, you don't get to see the team you support, AND you get some people telling you you aren't a real supporter.

I wouldn’t stop attending for any bunch of suits. I have many decades supporting our great club under my belt, for the love of the game, for anyone pulling on the blue and white quarters & not forgetting the all important social aspect.
What else would one do on a Saturday? Sit at home on the Internet forums during a match, moaning about a boardroom I have no control over? I don’t think so.
Bring on Fleetwood.

Are there many people these days that go to away games but never home ones?
There seemed to be quite a few people saying they did this years ago on the forums during the Geoff Dunford era but I'm not sure if they actually did that or jumped on the bandwagon saying they did.

Didn’t renew this season for various reasons and had hoped that I would really miss going and renew for the upcoming season. Unfortunately I haven’t missed it at all and doubt I’ll ever get an ST ever again sadly.

Feel sorry for the travelling fans both the ones who travel a distance for home games and away, the time effort and expense is considerable, I cant do away due to child care. Can`t you find an adult that will take you?

I didn't renew mine this season. It's only the second season I've not had a ST in about 20 years, the other one was when I hadn't been well. I fully intended to go to a game every month or so this season and the odd away game, but after two games in August, one in October and one in December I hate to say it but I have found other things I'd rather be doing on a Saturday afternoon. It's not just the football, it's the stadium, the food, the atmosphere, the traffic, the parking (lack of) and more so than all of that it's the feeling of being disconnected from the club that's put me off. The fact that I haven't really missed it makes me wonder if I'll get a ST in the future again. The way I feel at the moment, probably not.

thought if you are a supporter you are a supporter! if you ,only 'sing when we are winning', then the word supporter does not apply to you, as in life you have good times and not so good, remember triumph and disaster, neither last for long, the tide will turn in our favour again, its only a few games! so be ready! good time will follow ,up the Rovers!
