First of all I wasn’t at the game today but according to the guy on Sky we’ve been “woeful” I’ve been checking on SofaScore our possession stats the last few weeks and we’ve not got above 40% ..... home or away . This has to be a real concern . I know possession isn’t everything in football but to be playing home games and the away side dominates the ball is concerning to me. I think we’ve averaged about 35% possession...... so they’ve got the ball 2/3rds of the time ! We can hardly manage a shot on target! ( for weeks) Things have to improve..... we need the ball to score a goal or two. This is what needs addressing urgently IMO

I disagree that is the part that needs addressing urgently. I don’t mind having less possession and what you do off the ball is just as important what you do on the ball.
Garner needs to work on how we can actually go forward and get in/around the box. Every time we’re shooting it’s from distance because we can’t get near their goal.
Garner also needs to learn how to read a game at half time. Every single game we’ve come out a lot worse under Garner and essentially get dominated. Our tactics are too easy to work out and we don’t chance anything, while opposing teams work out our weaknesses and expose them in the 2nd half.

Biggest problem for me is that we don’t have a bloke can split a defence like lines, Clarke battled well today and sercombe carries the ball well but neither can play a killer pass. The less said about Upson the better

If only Coughlin hadn't left. We would be at least 4th, maybe second.

The less said about Upson the better Upson one of our best players this season. The man is a myth, he had 5-10 good games around September/October. He’s slow, he can’t tackle, he rarely passes forwards,he loses the ball more than he retains it and has been poor for the best part of his time with us. A few goals (very good ones by all means) don’t paper over the cracks for me

Unfortunately none of them are the kind of player that suits the style that it would appear , I think , that Garner wants us to move forward with. And there lays the problem.

I think sercombe is the only player who has improved under Coughlan which tells the story. This squad isn’t capable of getting it down passing it around and picking up enough points to be a top half side. I’m not saying Garner won’t be successful but it’s going to take time lots of it and lots of patience from our support which judging by our dropping attendance the get Coughlan out and let’s get it on the deck and play pretty football brigade have mostly lost interest already.
