I can see this will be the last season some of the players will be playing in the blue and white quarters.. I can’t remember who’s contract is up this summer but I can see more recruitment happening and the loan players obviously going back
In my opinion the ones that should go:
Upson Clarke Craig Bennett Rodman Mathews
Reilly

Only just turned February and people have already written off this season, fair play to Ben Garner he's managed to achieve what Paul Buckle could not.

Let's hope these players show some decent loyalty to us, while we're planning to f**k them off.

Garner has taken the spirit out of the team, you could see that yesterday. Good job they got the points they need before he showed up

A couple of months ago Craig was lauded as the stalwart of a solid defence, now he's on the fans leavers list. Upson too when under GC he was playing the best football of his Rovers career. GC got the best out of the players, BG is getting the worst and the players have to look for another job? Doesn't seem right to me.

If we did clear out all those experienced players are we just going to sign U23 players with zero league experience to replace them?

For the first 35 minutes we pressed high up the pitch and wouldn’t let them settle on the ball. We deserved more than the one goal lead. Lack of spirit had nothing to do with the defence- splitting passes that gave them Two quick goals. Those quick goals just before half time lowered spirits, plus we had been outplayed by Coventry twice already this season which was another psychological blow. Second half the players abandoned the game plan and reverted to Coughlan ball - hoof it and hope. still, any flimsy excuse to bash this manager will do, eh ?.

It's only few Gasheads on here who think that and let's be honest I bet most of them have never even played a season of men's 11 v 11 football.

We need experience to go with the youth we’re now signing to stand a chance of any positivity at all. GC: DWDWWWDWWWWD BG: LDLDLLLLDDL Let’s not start blaming players when it’s blatantly clear to see what they could have achieved under the right manager.

Every season is somebody’s last in the quarters these days, some you don’t mind going and others you regret. That you want to identify them on 2nd February is the bit I find strange. More of this instant I want, I want, I can’t wait nonsense. Better to just get behind them and revisit this subject when there’s four games of the season left.

Don't think Upson has every played well, when we have played 2 in the middle. He struggled when we used to play 442, before GC changed it. Not sure on Matthews yet. Those who watched the development game midweek, said he stood out.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe he’s had more MOM on here this season than any other player. Very underrated by people who have not played the game or have a limited understanding of football as he generally goes about his job quietly and effectively.
