Honolulu .... then lived in the Cayman Islands. Moved to puerto rico for a few yrs, then moved onto French Polynesia, Yucatรกn in Mexico and whitsunday islands Australia. Found Yatton and I fell head over heals for this little paradise on earth . Sounds like you were a bit of a tax exile. Visited the Cayman Islands years ago. Great place if your into scuba diving with Stingray City and the Cayman Wall and numerous reefs.

Shirehampton born and bred.. One of quite a few on here I reckon that rode the train line from Severn Beach to Stapleton Road. Absolute mayhem on there at times and it always brought us into confrontation on the way home with away fans on the opposite platform at Stapleton Road.. Part of growing up back in the day... Happy memories of Eastville and of course the Tote End... Avonmouth for me, so like you Todd the train to Stapleton Road for home games. The Shire and Sea Mills lads used to pile on then there'd be a bit of animosity to the kids that boarded at Redland. Don't know why that should be as we were all Gasheads, a bit of a territorial thing I suppose. Have lived in Portishead for my adult life so it's a 30 minute drive to park off Wellington hill West and a 10 minute walk to the ground. Ive got to say I feel sorry for the residents around there with all he football parking.

St George - Portishead - Bath - Portishead - Qatar
Been in Qatar now for nearly eight years. The invention of iFollow was probably the best thing the football league has ever done! Just a shame it didn't happen a few seasons earlier for the promotion seasons!

Born Bristol, brought up Bedminster down overlooking the suspension bridge and dare I say Ashton gate. Lived in Whitchurch for many years, then Nailsea for twenty years. Apprenticeship for an engineering company in Bristol then joined the Merchant navy. All this time while working all around the world in the Merchant navy and then a short time in the middle East in the oil industry before returning to work in the North sea oil industry. Since retiring while living in Nailsea, moved to Bideford for five years and now settled in a village in Carmarthenshire where we have been for the last five years.

Not sure where I was born! Spent first four years in 100 Fishponds Road, taken to watch the Gas by a kindly old lady to give my Mum a break. When we got a council flat in Hartcliffe (1965) it seemed like paradise! Turned out it wasn't, but a few of us Gasheads got together and made the double bus trip to Eastville. As time went on we were often met off the bus back in Hartcliffe by sh#theads. Joined the Royal Navy in 1977 til 1983. Then returned to Kingswood. Now enjoy the country life in Pensford but see my Gashead kids in Kingswood and Fishpnds regularly. Go to and 50% of home matches and a few away.

Quite obvious by my name. Been in W-s-M all my life. Parents from West Midlands and big Baggies fans. My old man tried to brain wash me but no chance with my neighbor's son and the smash and grab years. Brought up as the paper's say on the notorious Bournville Estate, when I was a kid this estate was full of GAS no Ted's. The rest of Weston was Ted's. Weston now has quite a few Gasheads.

Downend from birth to age 18, 3 years as a student in Coventry, 10 years living in London, 28 years in West Sussex, moved to Wiltshire 18 months ago after marriage breakup, so I'm much closer to the Theatre of Dreams, BS7. Now have a new partner in Bracknell so I'm driving back east up the bloody M4 again half the week. She's worth it. Sorry to hear of breakup Aghast. Try and sell beautiful Bristol to your new partner ๐

I remember reading an article about it being the worst estate in the UK? Would you agree?

I was born in Bedminster but my dad was in the army and we moved about a lot. One junior school was Northam near Bideford, when dad came out of the army we lived in St. annes and we went to Eastville with next door neighbour, that was in the early 60โs. in my early 20โs I worked in Carmarthen, lived in Johnstown and played football for St.Clears. Moved back to Bristol and lived in Portishead. Married a Brummie and now live in the Midlands. Season ticket holder in South Stand tent.

Most of the Redland lads used to meet up at Redland Park and walk the track to Stapleton Road, must have been the more affluent Redland lads catching the train!, walking through the Montpellier tunnel in absolute pitch blackness with only the scruntch of the chippings underfoot and the smell of damp, never forget it. Oh, and me, Filton, Bishopston BS7, Eastville, Fishponds, Emerson's very Gassy!...
