Why not - he isn’t good enough to play in L2 and given the decisions made by the club of late they’d probably have him back

Worst manager in our history.
I do wonder though - serious question - is the worst manager in the history of the sport? (ie. Any country, any club)

Players as well. If you are not willing to play for the shirt or the supporters who travel then you should not be at the club.

Worst manager in our history. I do wonder though - serious question - is the worst manager in the history of the sport? (ie. Any country, any club) Look at some of these stats! www.shortlist.com/news/football-worst-manager-reign-relegation-clough-neville-adams-real-madridWhat I would give for some of these numbers under Garner. John Barnes won 3 out of 14 at Tranmere. 3! Wins! 1 win in 6 for Brian Clough at Leeds. Dambed United? Damn Good United more like! I'm pretty sure the only worse record is Terry Connor at Wolves with no wins out of 13. But to be fair, he took over a team near the bottom of the Premier League rather than one fourth in League One...

Never a manager. He is a chancer and couldn't believe his luck when he sold his snake oil to the gulliblle in charge

He's hardly a chancer just somebody not up to managing our basket case of a club. It's the 3 clowns who employed him (and didn't do more to keep GC, did they really tell him to do one when he asked for his job back as Gashead1981 was boasting about on the Gasheads forum) who should be taking the stick tonight.

Southend has the longest pier in Britain, surrounded by a wide sea.
To be clear - that's a joke... I wish no personal harm to BG

Did I miss the “asking for job back” story? That would have been odd, but interesting!

I don't want him to walk home to Bristol. Better if he walked in the other direction away from us!

According to Googlemaps, it takes 52 hours to walk from Southend to the Mem, which, if he starts now, would get him back in plenty of time for the Sunderland match, unfortunately.

Any future manager should have a clause in his contract saying he must live within 25 miles of Bristol
