Can someone give me a brief insight on what is gonna be decided today please! As I understand it: Sainsburys are secretly trying to get out of buying the Mem by insisting on longer delivery hours for the proposed supermarket. They'd like these to be refused. Rovers have petitioned the Council to allow the longer hours and have met certain conditions to help this happen. Today the Council will vote on whether to allow the longer delivery hours. If they say yes, Sainsburys will then have to honour the contract. that's the theory as I understand it.

Gotta say I trust Nick Higgs with this, it's where he's been successful in the past.

NH has been succesful in building large developements for Cowling once all the contracts are in place, I bet he's never had to force a company like Sainsbury's to honour a contract?
Let's hope we get some clarity shortly from Sainsbury's if the they are going to pay up, should the delivery hours be approved today

From the look of that agenda it could be a while.
Ridiculous report of it all on Points West. "Bristol Rovers trying to persuade Sainsburys to build a supermarket" etc. Don't care what they do, as long as they pay up as agreed.
