It’s interesting to see who the current bottom three are in the table with about 10 games to go ..... the three sides that went up last year. Lockyer to be playing the level he deserves to be ? Is the gulf bigger between league one and championship now than championship and Prem ? All that said & done , I’m still looking forward to Ben taking us up next season. I’m watered.

Rotherham and Barnsley are proper yo-yo teams who are going to switch places again this year by the looks of it. Is there money to be made from going up and down like that?

The gulf between each League gets bigger each year. It has to, as the money is distributed in such a way!
This then takes away the dream of promotion thus rendering football pointless.
It's why I've stopped watching.
The money in the game has improved stadiums (except ours), driven wages to a ridiculous level and given us more arm chairs supporters than ever.
I'd need some convincing to believe that we could sustain life in the Championship Or even the top ten of L1.
The silence from our leaders just makes things worse. Have we got a plan?

Gulf between championship and league 1 is far bigger than between any other step up in the entire football pyramid. Teams coming down should not and we are beginning to see, do not, struggle in league 1.

Portsmouth for the best part of a decade have been a L2/L1 club. This is the only season that they are close to getting back into the championship.

Just need Sunderland, Ipswich and Portsmouth to get in to the Championship and they will close the trap door on L1 and L2.

I’ve been rooting for Luton to stay up as they are most similar to what it would be like for us in the Championship if we got promoted one year. They’ve really struggled and that’s with them retaining the team that romped league one last year, strengthening with a few experienced Championship pros and Danny Collins banging in the goals for them. Suffice to say we would really struggle at that level.

I was thinking the exact same myself, championship is becoming a premier league 2 and the gap between the top two leagues and those below just getting bigger, underlines the need for a decent stadium to play in and decent level of backing from an owner.
