One of the problems as I see it is that is that Covid-19 turns us all into potential killers. We don;t necessarily know at the time that we have the disease and we don;t know at any one time if we are infectious. But if, for the sake of argument, you were infectious how would you feel if you spread the infection to someone who went on and died from it. This isn;t just about protecting ourselves, it is about protecting other people and I think that we need to bear that in mind when we take any actions - be it shopping, exercising or going to watch a football match. Thats a good point. I myself am in my 30s ( and touch wood in good health)...Im classed as a key worker and on the frontline daily at work so to speak.Im not worried about myself getting it, but just aware of spreading the desease to others that it could kill. I also feel quite lucky that this lockdown hasn't affected me as much as most due to still going to work and travel etc..

I for one would be totally prepared to attend football matches again with no social distancing, asap. We can't stay cowering behind our net curtains forever. If you don't want to attend, fair enough, stay home.

If you don't want to attend, fair enough, stay home. I think this is fair enough, but it does depend on you circumstances? If you live alone then fine, but what if you live with someone who has health issues or they are in their seventies? Horses for courses I suppose, but I get your point about cowering behind the curtains lol!

It looks like there are those who will not risk close contact with other people until a safe vaccine is found, which could be 1-2 years away, which i respect. On the other hand, there are people like me who want to get back out there and watch football, go to the pub, visit friends, family and other likeminded people and enjoy life.
We will eventually have to reopen society. I for one, don't want to wait until I'm "allowed" to, or forced to have a vaccination.
If people want to stay in and social distant themselves, I honestly respect their decision. I'm looking at the beginning of September when schools will reopen...

I'm looking at the beginning of September when schools will reopen... on the contrary i think the vast majority of people are like you and want to go to the pub, football etc and enjoy life but that vast majority are wise enough to realise that it cant happen until we are ,to all intense and purposes virus free(as advised by the experts) and it would be incredibly stupid and selfish to think that we can get back to normal any time soon, September may well be a realistic target for such activity ,given the present graphs from elsewhere in the world but it can not be guaranteed, as for the vaccine ,all power to the boffins and hope they crack it asap, i will right at the front of the queue for it and no one will have to force me to have it! i can not for the life of me understand why any sane person would want to rush back out there to watch football or any thing else at the moment, do those responsible for such decisions not listen to the news at all ?,you can not put cash before lives !

I have a question for you Adrian, do you have any elderly relatives in your life, small children or perhaps someone with underlying health conditions?
