Football returning today, who's everyone supporting?
SC Paderborn for me. Watched them in the 2008/2009 Bundes.3 season in a top of the table clash against Union Berlin. Finished 0-0.

Does anyone play in blue and white quarters in Germany? Sportfreunde Lotte have done in the past and often have a quartered badge, currently play in plain blue. Very Rovers in the 60’s st the moment. You’re welcome.

With a nod to the old Bristol/Hanover exchange i will go for the latter, no idea what level they play at though

It's amazing how much it affects the whole football experience without any fans.

It's amazing how much it affects the whole football experience without any fans. Very strange. I’ve got the Dortmund Schalke game on and it just doesn’t feel like I’m watching a game of football

Made me realise that I hope they don’t start next season behind closed doors, it would make me lose interest in watching football completely.

All these games have a typical Ashton Gate atmosphere.

I like it. No moronic unimaginative 'songs'. No abuse of players, officials, opposing fans. No ignorance of football, sport or sportsmanship on display. Concentration on matters on the pitch. No hooligan posturing. What's not to like?

Lovely bit of VAR ruling a shoulder offside to deny a 92nd minute winner.

Sky Deutschland give the viewer the option to turn on/off the crowd noises they are creating.

No hooligan posturing. What's not to like? Pros - No queuing for pies, toilets or electronic turnstiles which have gone wrong. No getting frozen cold in winter. Cons - No atmosphere, no proper tackling (based on Dortmund v Schalke today), clubs fail due to no money, only low-paid not very good players in Leagues 1 and 2 for the clubs which survive, no banter (OK based on things I've heard said this season that could also be a pro!). In short - we may have a rubbish ground, our team can be frustrating to watch but I want to be there in the cold, wet, miserable winter weather supporting the Gas!

If more games are played behind closed doors then your sunday tv game will soon lose neutral fans out of boredom. Advertisers won't like this and could affect tv money in the future for the better. Paying supporters have a big say

I dipped into the Dortmund and Frankfurt games, some good football but very odd atmosphere. I don't think it helps that you get a big echo in those big enclosed stadiums. I think I would be able to get into it if it was Rovers and it had something riding on it

All these games have a typical Ashton Gate atmosphere. Why? Didn’t see any Dortmund fans spitting at their own manager?
