So now debt free to allow us to get finance for the new stadium? Get finance? Wael's already paid in cash upfront and bagged a decent discount! The football world will think we've gone mad, everybody else is struggling just to survive this summer and Wael's spending money like it's going out of fashion.

Debt free !!!!!!!!!!!! how many clubs can say that, with assets of a training ground and the Mem, makes us a very good investment prospect.

THIS BIT
Before I go, I also wanted to address one final point. Over the past two years in particular there has been intense speculation that the club is up for sale. I can confirm that I have no intention to sell the club and my desire is to retain a controlling stake whilst doing what is required to get the club to where it needs to be. There is no truth to the recent rumours about any sort of takeover and as you can see from the actions that we are taking, my commitment to the football club remains unwavered.
Could this last statement be any Clearer? To the ITK bullshitters which continually kick the club! PLEASE STOP!
It's taken four years but OUR club is now owned by a proper football man!

Well done Wael, I did think he was being held back by his family, but still a massive commitment As someone else said seems like the buyers of the fruit market will get to have shares in the gas

This lad has some really impressive contacts, if only he could get some to join the 1883 club.
Karim is an experienced media and communications consultant, who after graduating with an MA from the University of Westminster, moved to the Middle East and established a PR agency that grew to become a regional partner of Hill & Knowlton, representing some of the most renowned global brands including Microsoft, Starbucks, Boeing, Visa, Jaguar Land Rover, Samsung and the Four Seasons hotel. Upon returning to the UK, he joined Bristol Rovers in 2016 in a business development capacity, helping the club work on all aspects of growth as it embarked on a new era under new ownership.

Its great news, especially during these uncertain times. Think all us fans from optimist to pessimist needed this news for a better feeling of security and commitment from wael. We are not out of the wood yet though because the owner still needs to find a way to make the club more sustainable financially without failing on the pitch. But we appear to have a clear plan so here is hoping for good things to come.
