So to sum up - now that the thing you've been complaining about for months has been done, you've decided (much like your co-conspirator who started his own thread) that's not actually the thing that caused you concern. You now realise (how could you not?) that your concern all along has been interviews. You said debt. You meant interviews. Easy mistake to make. And apparently not even the substance of the interviews themselves but more specifically the facial expression of Wael during interviews. What a completely rational and non-revisionist point of view to have. Thanks for sharing. Are you absolutely sure this definitely makes sense? I have been saying for years that all those attacking Weal had absolutely no evidence to support their negative bullshit rumours and that's now even more since the one thing they had a good point about (the debt) has been removed. They are now just making up new unfounded sh** and claiming THATS the problem. In truth, as many of us suspected, there is just an anti WAQ agenda because he has ruffled a few of the old guards feathers. Its interesting that Helpline, The Community Trust and the commercial side of the club appear to have had no such issues, or if they have, they have had the decency to conduct themselves in a much more befitting manner than the SC and PC. Absolutely spot on.

Indeed LJG, Humble Pie Lite seems to be the choice of a couple of posters. With respect, if Wael had run the club properly the last few seasons he could have saved himself the best part of 20 million to put towards a new stadium. He's bailed the club and himself out- hence the humble pie lite and the hope that going forward he has better advice than he was getting to end up with players on 3.5 year contracts soaking money up like a sponge. To answer LJG it's not so much shifting the goalposts, just pointing out to those who now think we are going to challenge City that in the grand scheme of things Wael is still unlikely to hold a candle to Lansdown and others in the investment stakes. He might be throwing more money at the club but what is our upper limit? Still mid table championship at very best at the moment imo. Of course that will be a dream in the short term for most Rovers fans, long term it's going to need more investment. Who gives a * about City? We're not in a position to challenge Cardiff, Swansea, Bournemouth or Southampton either. But that hasn't been your complaint all this time has it? You've decided it is now because the thing you were complaining about is resolved. It's obviously wrong to say Wael could have saved 20m. Whether funded by debt or equity that money is spent. Also, if you'd like to post here the posts you surely made condeming Bennett's signing at the time, I'm sure I'll agree that everyone including Wael should have known (just like you did) how it would turn out and torn the contract out of DC's hand.

I agree. In a way I understand - similar to when the company you work for is bought out and things change it's natural to want to have a bit of a moan but creating a public nexus of lies and disinformation to effectively just bully someone out of office is borderline personality disorder type stuff. A few people seem to have been suffering from a collective and mutually fuelled hysteria.

Full house for first home game whenever that is!! Bring it on .Missing Rovers more than I thought.Little team in East Devon called Colyton have been given a grant of £5000 to improve their pitch and they are so chuffed.Everything in life is relative and having been a Rovers fan since the fifties I never fail to get excited with positive news even though History would advise me not to count my Chickens!!!!!! Few nice signings to whet our appetite and my long round trip to the Mem will be worth it again.

Virtually zero chance of us having a full house anytime soon, 25% capacity will be the best we can hope for when the season starts.

I've been vocally critical of the Al Qadi Ownership v1.0, I struggled to see how they would improve the club. Prior to this summer most improvements have cursory and in my opinion more about giving the impression of improvements. In real terms v1.0 actually decreased the value of the club by the nature of the debt increasing. We had a rotting training ground site and no stadium on the horizon. With the clearing of debt the club is now an asset again, we have movement on the training ground and hopefully in the next year we'll be announcing something regarding a development/redevelopment of a ground. Like I said, for me this is a clean slate. This is an owner being able to make all the decisions himself. It's been nearly three years since we ditched the UWE Stadium, there's not been a lot of hope in that time. I've seen too many graphics of stadiums to get excited by another, but I do have hope we may be turning the corner. If I'm critical in 3+ years, v2.0 has probably failed.
