Seems not everyone is quite so thrilled with this news as are the vast majority of us. On the 'what happens next thread' a few suspects refuse to accept the news for what it is and are looking for ways to find fault with what's undoubtedly a good news story for the club and us fans. These suspects have trumped the 'Wael wants out and the clubs for sale 'theories and Wael does not care , and they do not like it when Wael refuses to confirm or deny there rumours and then what happens? Well you know that scene in Indiana Jones where this 10 foot Arab waves this 10 foot sabre around at Jones? Indiana looks at him ,listens to his rantings, then calmly gets a pistol out and shoots him! Absolute classic! for the Arab read the doubters ,for Indiana read Wael! Actually Wael did that at the last Annual Meeting when he rounded on his critics and gave it to them with both barrels. The gist of it was don't believe what you read on the internet. There were two people that evening who did all they could to stir things up with little evidence to back up their criticisms. One of them had basically told him that he knew what his brother was doing and thinking when it came to Bristol Rovers. That person has been a prominent critic of Mr Al-Qadi and today has sought to undermine his actions again in his postings on this forum. He has been proved wrong, as have the Supporters Club and Presidents Club. Regards John Malyckyj

Is that what you buy the man who already has everything? Scooby made me do it so I reckon I owe him a beer or 3. Happy to oblige. Now your week is complete. As for a beer I'll happily have one with you but don't get me chocolates. I'm a dog remember and the aftermath of eating chocolate is truly mind blowing. Yep we’ll definitely sort something out, but f**k knows when that’s gonna be? wasn’t it funny that the only 3 - 1 of the day was the sh**, and I managed to pick it out lol!

He has always come across whenever I have encountered him as a bit of a mouthy sod, whether that is down to misinformation or plain ignorance isn't my problem However his condescending attitude on here annoys me and clearly others, he appears comes up with some ITK stuff (often proved wrong) and refuses to answer questions on his apparent knowledge. Usually counters those questions with accusations and/or repeating his original guff. Obviously as a "life long Gashead" (aren't we all?) he is entitled to his opinions, but I wish he would debate them with some civility and actually answer the queries put to him - UTG

I could become a convert to the 3-1 bet as you seem to do quite well from it.

I was just trying to be charitable.

Don’t worry LJG I’m still here This is great news because capitalization of the loan paves the way for fresh outside investment which I think is absolutely necessary if Rovers are to survive and prosper. No new cash has arrived today but if it does come soon then the future looks a lot brighter. Only a few lines on this? You normally try to post page long comments in an attempt to baffle people with accounting jargon (which is generally wrong). Why the change of posting style all of a sudden? May I refer your honour to my Fruit Market thread post made at 8.36pm on December 19th 2019.

Not sure if anyone has posted this link of Wael talking to Alistair Durden, BBC Apologies if I've duplicated /?extid=tdFr6ERLIyWv6QGj&d=null&vh=e PS: if it's the FM site Rovers will be at "The Heart of Bristol" - a good slogan?

Fair play to Wael, do get the feeling that really it was only his interest and no one elses in the family. He is now taking in full control and making the decisions it would seems. Been quick to judge in the past, has felt like we have been tredding waters, but with the Colony being developed and the right things being said, it has give me some hope for a better future. Listening to the interview above I don't get the same feeling I was having that there would big a announcement in the week ahead, I only hope for our older supporters and the future of the club that we are sat in a new ground in the near future.

I have to say, myself, a cynic at the best of times, & all the other many doubters, need to eat a large slice of humble pie, Wael has really stepped up, brilliant couple of weeks, Training Ground being developed, the debt largely capitalised, & with the new stadium back on the agenda, what a great time for all of us Gasheads. You got that impression early on after the takeover, I'm not really sure why all the family got involved when it was clear Wael was the only one interested in football, and also probably had the time running the club in the UK. As far as the stadium Bristol Live are also suggesting they don't expect an announcement this week. I guess even if a deal has been agreed with the FM somebody has then got to discuss their plans for the stadium with BCC before they can go public with them. There's little point in having a presser just to say a deal has been agreed to buy the land but now plans are being worked on for a stadium design.

Your Lordship! Please! ;-) I just had a look at that post. Its just crackpot supposition - a conspiracy theory. A conspiracy theory that is already out of step. Wael has capitalised the debt which is what? Step 5 according to you. The Mem hasn't been sold and we're not ground sharing at Twerton Park. Why don't you want to talk about the current news? Not your conspiracy theory from December.
