My son started training again two weeks ago, no tackling and no touching the ball with hands, mainly fitness stuff and staying two metres apart. Yeah, a friend of mine coaches a junior team and they did the same. Good that things are slowly getting back to some sort of 'normality' and it will be good for people's health, both physically and mentally. Yeah it was good, shame my youngest can’t go back but I understand their reasonings.

How come the top two divisions are playing out the season, but it's far too dangerous to allow players in the leagues below to get anywhere near each other for training?

It’s not dangerous, providing you have access to testing equipment and constantly sterilise equipment and that’s the sticking point because lower league clubs don’t have the finances to do that for a sustained period of time.

We can. We're rich now.

The question also is where they will be training? I assume the training ground at Almondsbury won't be ready to move until at least September/November when the pitches are ready and the facilities are up and running. Perhaps the club might use Cribbs for a little bit longer or use leisure centres and local 3g pitches for the duration of pre season? Get 'em down on Weston beach like the old days. Could even have a 5 a side against Trapnell's donkeys. Yes but if we lost just imagine what that’d do for confidence. 😉 UTG!

Thanks very much Sir! I’m sure they will, luckily my six year old has one of those full size goals in the garden, he’s play football all day if he could.

Do you really think BG's sat at home obvious to the fact he needs to plan when we return to training and also where we train 'til the new training ground can be used? Did I say that 😂. I asked if anyone knew when we were starting again, it was not a dig at the club. I wondered if anyone new where and when we are starting training. IMO we should be starting within the next few weeks. Obviously nobody has heard anything yet. End of next week.

We still need somewhere to train and the player's need a premilary date" If you read the national press it is pretty clear every L1 club is in the same boat, they can't return to training until they know when next season is actually due to start, hopefully it will be the 5/12 Sept and we'll return to training shortly as TT suggests.

But amateur players can return now w/o any testing, if the Premiership/Championship had waited a month or so they could have saved a fortune on testing and L1/L2 could have also finished all their fixtures.

That was aimed at you, not Garner or the club. As you were making out it does not matter and that we should just wait until it's been confirmed. I never said I thought the club were doing nothing, I asked if anyone knew what was happening. Then you started moaning in that we don't need to go back for ages anyway.

If you were told, did they say where we would be training??

Assuming and it's a big assumption that the season starts early Seltember the training ground should be ready as the seasons training facility as stated by the club. Regarding pre-season training therefore it will not. What nobody to date has stated on the forum is there is a perfectly fine unused pitch of superb quality with associsted facilities owned by the club at an address just off Filton Avenue known locally as The Mem

Virtually zero chance of the first team squad and Development squad being allowed to wreck one of the best pitches in the league for pre-season training.
Given the EFL meeting to decide when next season starts has been pushed back to next Friday, I can't see or players returning to training at the end of next week before the outcome is known.
