EFL HUB ⚜️ @efl_hub · 29m NEWS: 📰 The Football Leagues season will stop again mid October due to second wave of Covid-19 The EFL HUB know nothing It’s just another rubbish fan page on twitter, probably made by some 15 year old bored of playing call of duty and Fortnite and throws so much sh** about that people start to treat it as gospel because one eventually sticks. Sam Frost and other credible journalists are as close as we’ll get to actual stories.

Virtually zero chance of the first team squad and Development squad being allowed to wreck one of the best pitches in the league for pre-season training. Given the EFL meeting to decide when next season starts has been pushed back to next Friday, I can't see or players returning to training at the end of next week before the outcome is known.

I felt sorry for no league teams, Frome for example have a 4,000 capacity and on average get around 200, No problem Socil Distancing and I suspect all the others at that level are the same

In an ideal world, some of the Premier League money would be trickled down through the leagues to help smaller clubs survive.

That’s where the PL clubs need to live. I fear the impacts of this are yet to be seen.

JCH has posted "time to get the boots out" on his Instagram, so I guess training is fairly imminent.
Update - physical training commencing on Wednesday.

Any idea of where we are training at until the new facility is ready? Is there any reason we couldnt have extended the lease at Cribbs short term? The logical place?

Assuming and it's a big assumption that the season starts early September the training ground should be ready as the seasons training facility as stated by the club. Regarding pre-season training therefore it will not. What nobody to date has stated on the forum is there is a perfectly fine unused pitch of superb quality with associated facilities owned by the club at an address just off Filton Avenue known locally as The Mem QuotelikedislikePost OptionsPost by Topper Gas on Jul 15, 2020 at 10:24am Virtually zero chance of the first team squad and Development squad being allowed to wreck one of the best pitches in the league for pre-season training. If the Mem's pitch can't take a few weeks of summer pre-season training the Colony pitches will be obsolete by the autumn in October. Also the team needs to experience playing in a empty stadium for prepare for no crowds (low crowds) ps lots of training fitness levels is in the gym, swimming pools and remember when we trained with the army

Would imagine everyone's pitch is pretty decent at the moment? Maybe except Newport as ive rarely seen that pitch with any grass on it

On the subject of training, do all the football league clubs now have to pay for regular testing of all the players and staff, or will they be doing non-contact training for a while?
