It’s amazing to think that little old Brentford are just two wins away from the premier league. Over the years we’ve often been the same division as them but until relatively recently I would of said we were definitely the bigger club of the two. If Brentford can do it, so can we . You may call me a dreamer..... but I’m not the only one.

Good on Brentford.
Always looked out for their results, hailing from a great part of the World, i'm biased as that's where my family roots are from, although they're all Chelsea.
Griffin park is a great old ground with Pubs on all sides of it, it'll be sad to see it go, but like ourselves they desperately need new facilities.
I said on another thread, that they are the benchmark for us, really, they are the proof that you don't necessarily need the facilities to get to where you want to go, as Griffin Park is not much different to The Mem really, but you do need them if you want to progress and sustain it.
Good luck to them.

Great story and gives the rest of us hope!, they are so impressive to watch to , championship team of the year for me, must be a great time to be a Brentford fan, new ground and all! good luck to them, a real rags to riches story, unlike Leeds whose promotion was inevitable at some time , with there resources its taken a ridiculous long time and can't feel any joy for them.

I remember going there in the 60's and winning 5-0 with a Alfie Biggs hat trick. It's good that little clubs go to the top, it gives us all hope.

I was there too, it was just after we had sold our 2 strikers (cureton & Roberts I think?: I remember the Brentford fans singing where’s your strikers gone, and then we despatched 6 past them lol!

Just there is no such thing as plucky old Brentford or fairytale Bournemouth, or little old Bristol Rovers anymore. Lots of clubs/owners are spending or have spent lots of money.

Owner has still ploughed in 100m mind Just a similar model to Salford, Fleetwood & FGR, the owner effectively trying to buy success, you'd hope we have a bigger catchment potential than Brentford should we ever get a new ground. I still expect WBA to hold their nerve and get promoted now the pressure is all on Brentford.

I remember Browning scoring that goal where the keeper thought he heard the ref's whistle and put the ball down and Browning tapped it in for a goal!

You live & learn.
