Very very impressed with the early signs and the three players signed. Two of them look like they could both captain the side and they always say you should build the side from the back and we now look like we have a formidable line up of centre backs and possibly the best defence we have hade for years but only time will tell. i really did not expect us to be signing one of the best centre halves in the division and you could now say that we seem to be getting a blend of youth and experience. The real test will be getting in the attacking players to support and provide for JCH. Nicholson would be a great signing if we can get him in and I also have great hopes for the youngsters that BG brought on last season with the fitness traini9ng behind them at the start. Lets all get behind Wael,Ben and the team. UTG

We now have 6 centre backs, plus Grant who used to be a centre back and Little can play there as well. Not sure where it leaves Harries and Rollin. If Davies is injured, that puts us down to 5. But 2 or 3 will still sit out most weeks, depending on what formation we play.

With these signings I’m now feeling much more relaxed about the whole situation and actually starting to look forward to returning to the Mem. I’m looking forward to having egg on my face and for us to be bossing the league, and having to post a topic on here congratulating him when we’re flying high ten games in. Because the money is flowing and as some have said there must be something under our feet for us to be building a training ground and have drawn in players like those. Well done Ben for what he’s done so far.

Let's not jump the gun, quite yet, though.
I completely agree that the 3 signings look great on paper, and a defensive spine of Anssi, Kilgour, Ehmer, Baldwin, and Josh Grant is a great base to start from.
We do need some creativity in the side though, if we can get a couple of midfielders in that mould and some more firepower up top, then I probably will be excited.

Biggest priority for me is a handful of decent strikers.

After more years than most following Rovers;Conference, the worst stadium in the league,UWE debacle etc ,I am actually quite excited about our future. Have phoned 4 fellow Gasheads and we all agree a new stadium near Stafford would be ideal and save us a round trip of 240 miles per home game.So as there is a lot of waste land up here obviously this is the answer or we could ground share with Stoke or Vale.My MP,Bill Cash is on the case but he's yet to get back to me.

At least two more in the pipeline including a certain winger
I hear Topper was worried about me. It's all the abuse, I just can't stand it.

Plus Harries is highly rated and played against Sunderland, when we kept a clean sheet and Rollin still has time to develop as well. Can see JCH leaving though and we only have Daly apart from him upfront. Plus we need some wingers and a creative midfielder. Previous manager's have always said it takes longer to tie up the forward player's though, as they tend to be high in demand. Certainly a good start though.

I could be wrong but when we signed harries wasn’t it mentioned he could play in a central midfield role? It wouldn’t surprise me if we see him alongside grant in the middle

Well done Ben for what he’s done so far. Agree with this. Don't want to judge any player until they have played in the quarters but Ehmer aside who is proven quality in L1, Baldwin has hardly set L1 alight in the past and Grant hasn't played above L2 so jury is still out there. Garners own team needs to really hit the ground running as we have performed abysmally under him so far, ironically until the last game where we reverted to Coughlan-type tactics. Now we need to inject some creativity and get another striker we can rely on for goals...

Didn't I read somewhere that they're going to allow 5 substitutions to be made this season, so there's no need for any player to feel underused.
