I like the idea of being able to have a beer during the game on the terraces or in a seat.
I don’t like the idea of getting coated in someone else’s beer when we score. You know it’s going to happen, even in the more subdued parts of the ground where you still have a terrace numpty nearby.
I also don’t get the need to get tanked during a match. If I’m going to do that I may as well go to a pub on the high street and save myself the match entrance fee.

You mean you are happy to watch Rovers sober? ?!!!!!! Does that mean you will remember everything afterwards? (and still keep coming back?) You probably don't need to keep leaving the action to go to the toilet too? This just sounds like madness to me...

That’s another reason for not having too much beer - I’m back and forth to the bogs without having too many beers!

Believe it could work, may be people wouldn't feel the need to get so passed before kick off at the pub or at home in short space of time.
It only gets annoying when people keep getting up out their seats to go get drinks.

It only gets annoying when people keep getting up out their seats to go get drinks. At baseball in the states, they have people walking up and down the steps selling beer, and the bloke in the middle of the seats who wants a beer passes his money along the row with his order, and then the beer and his change gets passed along the row back to him. I always imagined at the football half the money would go missing on the way there, and most of the beer on the way back.

They will need a chip and pin reader on a go go gadget arm. As for the beer, well i suppose they could just throw it in your general direction. It would be no different to watching England at a tournament in packed bar when they score.

I'm not sure people should be allowed to have a beer before using this forum, let alone during a game.

It would be great - Doing the washing machine drenching everyone - Also, why not get the Blue Flames back and get them walking about selling shots like they did at the Bier Keller

I think a lot of the alcohol related problems you see with football comes from us not having the same rules as the rest of the world. Youngsters go to the pub beforehand and have the usual one or two prematch pints and then think well I won't be able to get one in at half time with the crowds so I'll just neck a third quick as possible. 3 pints over 2-3 hours isn't a problem but the British rules encourage very compacted drinking.
