Watching the game last night I couldn't help thinking about the game in 2000 when we played them and I noticed its still on the Brentford forum! Them discussing being thrashed by us. What a day! Although I seem to remember having a few too many beers! griffinpark.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9639&page=220 years ago this month!

I was there for that game. For a fleeting moment I thought we had survived the loss of Roberts and Cureton.
Sad season in the end

Shows that 20 years in football is an eternity, would have liked them to go up.

Insane to think that was 20 years ago. Great day. Wasn't that the first of 2 times we hit 6 goals in a match that season? Unbelievable to think we ended up going down when we had that in our locker.

Every time I went to Griffin Park We used to batter them, there were a couple of 3-0's, that 6-2, and even Chris Dickson ripped them to shreds on his debut.

The previous season we didn't even make the Play Offs when most other seasons we would of comfortably been in the top 3, and then following season we ended up getting relegated when most other seasons would of been comfortably safe. The joys of being a Rovers fan

If I remember that game took place on a bank holiday Monday? Reason I say is that I went to the game, but the day before which I’m sure was a Sunday, Gloucester had won a cup final at lords, a game I was at. Have to check my records.

The joys of being a Rovers fan Exactly, wasn't the points tally of 99/00 80 points or so? We were up against a formidable lineup of teams that year, and for the first 36 games were one of the best. Preston, Burnley, Wigan, Stoke, Millwall, Gillingham were all brilliant sides that year. Then 51 points in the relegation year would normally be enough. Bah!

Before my time sadly but I always remember the 3-1 Chris Dickson game from 2009. Amazing to think they were 15 minutes away from the PL last night and yet 11 years ago they were getting torn a new one by Chris f**king Dickson LOL.
Btw hate to praise anything City-related but that free kick from Joe Bryan was one of the most innovative and 'I can't believe he's actually gone for that' goals I've ever seen. Truly outstanding vision and execution to see, attempt and then pull that off.

And Ron Noades, the Brentford owner, complained that we had an advantage in the game because we didn’t play on the Saturday whereas Brentford did.

So much energy all the time in every game. And a brain as well! Should become a Top 6 player soon and an England call up? Won the match single handedly. 2 similar teams playing similar but Fulham better on day. Brentford very poor.. A very boring game until Jo hit! UTG

Scored a quality goal against us in the JPT and his finish last night for the 2nd was class as well
