With the fixture list being released and the first game of the season just weeks away, I have been thinking about the possible return of fans to games. I know clubs will be trialing the return of fans lower down in the pyramid, but it seems we won’t be able to watch Rovers until October/November at the earliest. Even then, there will likely be a cap on the number of fans allowed to attend.
I’ve also been thinking of the likelihood of away supporters attending games. My opinion is that it is unlikely that travelling supporters will be able to attend games at all this season, although I hope this isn’t the case.
Interested to read other’s thoughts on this.

Given the increasing numbers of CV19 cases in Europe you do have to fear it's going to be with us all winter, so increasing the capacity for home fans must surely be the priority this winter rather than even think about letting away fans into grounds.

To be honest I think standing in the thatchers end in a reduced crowd of just couple of thousand in the ground will be crap and quite depressing. No atmosphere whatsoever and I think I’d rather wait until footballs back to normal than do that. I follow for me until the grounds are opened up normal again I think.

It would be depressing if we all just stood there like statues but I think we'll all try that bit harder to support the team if we're in the privileged 2-3k fans allowed in. I think we've all been at games with large but lifeless crowds and yet have experienced great vocal support with only 5-6k in attendance. We will as the limited fans in attendance have an extra duty to loudly cheer on the Gas.

So instead of standing there like statues are you suggesting that we engage in a spot of line dancing with synchronised hand claps? 😂

I guess if we all decide not to attend games then we might not have a team to watch when normality ever returns.

I with you on this I just can't see how you will be able to create an atmosphere. Everyone will be spaced out and there is no guarantee on who will be able to get into the ground on what week. I have not bought a season ticket this year and will support the club in other ways financially like buying more stuff from the shop but until things return to normal and we can have a pre match pint Where ever we want without having to give out your details and be able to stand with your group of mates I'm not rushing back.

The atmosphere will be different, it’s a shame but everyone will just have to live with it for a while. Still better than playing behind closed doors. Do we know how many season tickets have been sold so far? If its 3-4 thousand then it will be them only and no casual fans for sometime. At least it will make ‘track and trace’ easier for the club as the name, phone number, email for all attendees will already be known.
