To be honest I think standing in the thatchers end in a reduced crowd of just couple of thousand in the ground will be crap and quite depressing. No atmosphere whatsoever and I think I’d rather wait until footballs back to normal than do that. I follow for me until the grounds are opened up normal again I think. It would be depressing if we all just stood there like statues but I think we'll all try that bit harder to support the team if we're in the privileged 2-3k fans allowed in. I think we've all been at games with large but lifeless crowds and yet have experienced great vocal support with only 5-6k in attendance. We will as the limited fans in attendance have an extra duty to loudly cheer on the Gas. We get good vocal support away with far less fans? Also, if season ticket holders only, then these tend to be the "more" loyal / supportive ones so volume should be there? Up The Noise UTG

Back to normal. I was listening to some bods on Radio 4 last week and they say the virus could be with for another 3 years or more The virus could be with us for ever. Thats not a big deal in its self, its having a vaccine available that is the problem, like the Flu or any other thing

Thats not a big deal in its self, its having a vaccine available that is the problem, like the Flu or any other thing WILL be with us forever. As you say it's getting a vaccine and honing treatment for it. As I understand it it's a person's bodily reaction to the virus that's the problem. If medicine could overcome that the virus would diminish in its dangers. Meanwhile far more people die of a host of other illnesses.

Up The Noise UTG We do get more noise away but that's because a group of people are sat next to each other that will sing not spread around the stadium. Its not guaranteed that these people will be able to attend all home games as they may not be season ticket holders or don't get in because of limited capacity. Its going to be a nightmare to sort out as people have bought certain seats but wont be able to sit there because of the distancing rules. I just can't see how you will be able or allowed to create any kind of atmosphere so it will be like watching a pre season game every week.

I see club saying it will prioritise 1st wave of STs then next wave if attendance starts to resume. Anyone know how many ST sold in 1st wave? I’d imagine concentrated in certain areas so likely to need to spread people out

I’d imagine concentrated in certain areas so likely to need to spread people out I can't see it was more than 1,500 unless there was a last minute rush? As far as fans making a noise I understood the "charter" we had to agree would say no chanting or singing was allowed, I guess if that rule is enforced at every league club then it'll be a level playing field in L1, although god knows how stewards will stop a few thousand fans singing at Sunderland and Ipswich etc.

Looked like 1500 for a long time so I would hazard something like 2,300?

I have said this on other threads, but the longer this virus continues and spectators are not allowed to watch sport, then the financial burden will become to much for clubs to survive. With no real income coming in, I can see lots of football clubs and other sports clubs going into liquidation and folding, This will include our precious Bristol Rovers. The only way clubs can carry on will be by reverting to amateur status. Soon, even the premier league clubs will realise that money will be short in supply.

The doomsters have been saying that all summer but so far all 92 league clubs seem to have survived to the start of the new season. With 90% of the country CV19 free at present fans should, hopefully, now start returning to the majority of football grounds by October, although I guess the thought of that happening will upset you.

No atmosphere whatsoever and I think I’d rather wait until footballs back to normal than do that. I follow for me until the grounds are opened up normal again I think. My sentiments entirely. I truly believe the life is being sucked out of league football. Standing apart (with stewards on hand to tell you, in case you breach this rule), queuing for toilets, queuing for for food while being watched for social distancing, wearing masks, having your temperature taken, vaccine passport?, reduced crowds (2-3000?) There is no way small clubs like us will survive this. Near empty grounds with no atmosphere will lead to passionless football. Can you imagine us drawing Man utd in the cup and only 2-3000 being allowed in the ground? I hope i'm wrong, but to stand any chance of surviving this, the EFL has to get restrictions lifted.

I don't get this batch 1 and batch 2 season ticket process that determines who will get to be the season ticket holders that will attend in October.
I renewed my season ticket but I'm pretty sure I did it later when batch 2 season tickets were getting sold, which level of priority does that place me?
