What did you think of the match yesterday gasincider? Would enjoy hearing your views on some actual football for a change. Didn't see it. I watched Weston v Bath

Who cares about the football that a "football club" plays, when you can just stick your oar in on the club politics every few weeks instead. I only comment on games I see.

A constructive comment from gassy? Surely not. Once per year, if you're lucky Haven't seen any comments on the playing side in a while though Wonder why, anyone would think football had been cancelled or summat

6 resolutions and one special resolution that we are asked to vote for by proxy in advance due to restricted number of people who can ZOOM in at one time. Up to an aggregate nominal value of £495,000 shares to be issued which I presume will be utilised to 'write off' the debt. Presumably the charge might then be removed. No mention of any question and answer session in any shape or form. Total farce. Wael for obvious reasons would be unable to attend, so why can he not be the sole recipient of a Zoom connection, and the meeting be held in either of the main stands? There is never more than 100 people in attendance, so if we can't manage that, how will we ever be allowed fans into the stadium? And before anyone says it wouldnt be ideal because of possible possible weather issues, we'd be there for a game, so why not? Yet another attempt to throw a grenade in a puddle and walk away. Really is getting tedious. Any chance you have a view on football? To lead a life so full of hatred, rage and bitterness is bad for both your mental , emotional and physical well being. But then we know you won't wait around to answer any questions or challenges, will you. Government advice - Where gatherings have more than 30 people, those operating venues should take additional steps to ensure the safety of the public and prevent large gatherings or mass events from taking place. See section 3 for details on what activities are permitted in multi-use community facilities. Section 3 states 3d: Meetings and civic functions We continue to recommend that where meetings can take place digitally without the need for face-to-face contact, they should continue to do so. Where community facilities need to be used for physical meetings, these meetings should be managed within the social distancing guidance and principles set out above. The principles set out in the ‘Safer workplaces’ guidance apply, including but not limited to: meetings of civic, political or community groups (e.g. parish council meeting, ward meeting of political party; charity board of trustees) MP or councillor surgery/drop-in sessions. The government is discouraging unnecessary physical attendance at meetings. Where necessary to take place physically, participants should maintain 2 metres (or 1 metre with risk mitigation) separation throughout public meetings and local consultations (e.g. planning) Local authorities in England have some powers to hold public meetings virtually by using video or telephone conferencing technology. The Government is actively discouraging meetings of more than 30 people. Serious fines and bans can be imposed by Local Authorities. Are you saying BRFC should tempt the wrath of Local Government to appease your hostility and angst? Perhaps I only imagined far more than 100 at Weston

You must never watch Rovers then because I’ve never seen a football related post from you.
Seen plenty of bitching at everything else tho.

There are ways of holding meetings beyond a handful of attendees. It’s only an agm though for a company which is majority owned br someone who is free to do whatever they like Company law

He just fancied another rant at the owner with a load of baseless and unfounded accusations probably. With Zoom it gives you the ability to turn someone off..!! Hence not an AGM

what do we/you/anyone expect from the AGM anyway?
The resolutions will be passed because it doesn't matter if anyone votes against, it's a box ticking exercise.
a few people normally get to ask a few questions, which ultimately are/were going to be batted away

Since the loss of Hamer, he feels less important than ever, so them being able to mute him on Zoom is probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

I dont blame them for having a virtual meeting. I'm sure that if we had called a meeting for 100 people during a pandemic someone would have attempted to use that against the board. But then, I'm fairly cynical. Agreed but this is October. I watched Weston v Bath Saturday, and there were a lot more than 100 people there They played a game of football inside a small bar area? Blimey. Must have been snug.

It seems I’m the only one with that opinion too....

According to a newspaper I was reading today whilst supping tea, it looks like there is another spike on the way. Covid cases are now at the same level they were at in May. It is this time mostly people under 30 (protests/ raves/ mass shaggings/ and bars) are to blame.

In reality of course there is no satisfactory way of holding the AGM this year, and as far as we know, maybe even next year too?
We have to accept that things are the way they are and in fairness, I cannot see there is any way better.
It does of course mean that the BOD is let off the onerous task of batting away awkward questions for the time being, which is a shame for that is usually
the most entertaining part of the agenda, except for the examination of the Accounts and in particular how much money the Club lost during the previous twelve
months.
The law is the law, and there does have to be an AGM, but it may come as a relief for us all that this time we only have to Zoom in rather than turn up.

Are the club willing to have questions submitted in an orderly manner, much like they did for the fans forum? I don’t see why they can’t ask zoom members for any questions they wanted to ask. They may get a more thorough and orderly answer than they have in times past where hysterical mud slinging became the order of the day!
