With cases rising in England, it’s not looking great for the chances of crowds returning this year at the moment.

and if the virus takes off again as it is threatening to do, I wonder if the season itself will be cancelled at some point. A good start is critical if the season is cut short and final positions decided on a points per game basis

A good start is critical if the seaso is cut short and final positions decided on a points per game basis If it’s called off before Christmas, I can’t see it being decided off points per game as there simply wouldn’t be enough games to go off, more likely it would be postponed and the season shortened when back under way, but that’s only a suspicion.

The experiment to have spectators at the St. Leger meeting at Doncaster has been abandoned after just one day. The plan was to have punters in for the 4 days of racing. Now that has been abandoned, can’t see any hope of spectators being allowed this side of Christmas. The government is now getting tough again, restricting numbers being together to 6 people from 30. The longer spectators are banned from sports and other gatherings like theatres, cinemas, then normal life may not return for many months, even years.

On the flip side there’s talk of mass testing being rolled out. There’s a trial being carried out in Salford I think was mentioned next month for all spectators to be able to attend. There was a lot to take in there though so might have skipped a detail or two.

The race meeting in Doncaster was pulled by local authorities not the Government. Let's be honest, it was Dam stupid.

The whole thing is load of bollocks! I like how the government has asked the virus to have the weekend off, and come back Monday, as it’s only 6 people together at a time.

I stand at the back of the East Terrace. On a wet Tuesday there are less than 6 people so I'm okay ?

My parents are on the verge of losing the pub , that will mean both my parents and two of my brothers along with 5 others will all be out of work. This is certainly no way to live our lives these draconian laws are doing more harm than good.

When I purchased my season ticket earlier in the year, there was no mention of the ifollow pass, whereas since then it seems to have been sold with season tickets as a replacement for not being able to attend games.
I assume there will not be any refunds on missed game this season, because of the ifollow option? Does anyone know? I’m not particularly interested in watching on ifollow and it wasn’t sold to me when I bought my ST.
