Whilst I’m no fan of the EFL Trophy in its present format it does show the value of a competition to give our youngsters some meaningful first team action. Good goal and an opportunity seized that maybe might not have been if it wasn’t there. UTG!

I wonder if this is also a sign that we are very close to another CM (fingers crossed for Sheehan)... keeping the developing young CM onboard with a new contract to say look fella, we want you for sure, just let us keep developing you for now? Just a thought

Great for him, and yeah, he's developing into a good player.

Just a thought I'd perhaps suggest it's more an indication that the Upson has been permitted to leave to be accurate?

Or we're just rewarding our youngsters with decent contracts so they don't look elsewhere? I can't honestly see TM replacing Upson this season as a regular 1st team starter lin L1 whether or not he leaves.

Definitely, to be fair it was good for that before the FA sold their soul to the Premier League though which strengthens the case for going back to its original form I think 👍 Really happy we’ve signed Mehew for another two years he played well against Walsall scored a proper Boris type goal and it was missed by the commentators at the time but I think he won the header to create the second too ?

I think Hargreaves is probably ahead of Mehew at this time and I’ve got a feeling he’s going to be our player of the season but Boris junior certainly looks a good prospect . UTG
