I've just received the following email from the club:
First and foremost we would once again like to thank you all for your continued support and patience during these unprecedented times.
On the eve of our first league game of the season, we wanted to write to you to keep you up to date on all you need to know ahead of the new campaign.
As you will undoubtably be aware, we are set to begin the new season behind closed doors, the financial impact of which, will have a huge affect on clubs at all levels of the game.
However, as mentioned previously, we are delighted to be able to offer all season ticket holders free access to the EFL's iFollow streaming service for home league matches.
Along with all other EFL clubs, this access will be in lieu of a refund for the matches missed and will be made available via a code which will be sent to this email address.
If you wish for us to use an alternative email address, please update your email via the Tickets.com website here. Simply log-in and amend your email in your accounts section. Your Tickets.com account will be linked to this email address. If you don't know your password you can re-set it by inputting this email address and clicking the 'reset password' link which will send you an email to process the reset.
If you continue to have issues, please email seasonticketenquiries@bristolrovers.co.uk and our team will do all they can to help you.
Codes will be distributed via email on a match by match basis on the week of the game and will only be valid for the next home fixture. These codes are non-transferable and only available for use for the season ticket holder that they are sent too.
Below is a link to some FAQs on the iFollow system for supporters that haven't used it before.
Any fans who wish to 'opt out' from receiving a code and instead would like to receive a refund need to click the refund button below and submit your details. Please note that refunds will not be processed until fans have returned and we know how many matches have been missed. The refund would be worked out on a pro-rata basis.
We will also shortly be emailing all supporters more information regarding the return to The Mem to get some more information to help us plan effectively for all eventualities. Please keep an eye out for that email and respond as soon as is possible.
Thanks again for all of your support and we hope that we can get you back to The Mem as soon as is safe.

I’ve just had that too Topper.
If you accept the ifollow code, which saves you a tenner a match, you forfeit getting a refund, in my case, in the East Stand, around £18 per game.
Call me old fashioned, but I’ve a feeling I’d be coming off second best in that deal!

Yep and I’ll be accepting the ifollow code.
The money is already gone and spent in my mind. I bought it Knowing I wouldn’t be going to every game but it was a donation to club in hard times.
Appreciate not everyone will think the same but I’m not to worried about saving £8 per match as I’ll watch them all anyway.

What they really need is a camera in each part of the ground.
If you have paid more for an East Stand seat you get a good camera angle and are allowed to sit down to watch the match at home.
If you are in the Thatchers end you get a slightly dodgy view but dubbed in singing, you have to stand during the game.
East terrace the view is better, no singing and you still have to stand - if it rains you have to throw a pint of water over yourself before kick off. Optional extra for east terrace is a mad woman that comes round your house and shouts abuse at away manager or Ben Garner depending on if we are winning or losing.

And screams when the opposition are pressing in a concerning manner. Plus a bloke screaming abuse at our best player.

I've preemptively layed down a half inch layer of water in the loo for halftime 👍

And the fizzy drink fountain is out of order and the kettle has been written off so you can have, a bottle of water.

Next step is to have a smart speaker on your cardboard cut out, that you can, via your smart phone, offer advice to the match officials, hurl abuse at any former sheed players (especially snake) and hopefully cheer gas goals.

Does anyone know if this is a match by match decision or do you have choose refund or ifollow and be stuck with it for all the games that are behind closed doors?

I used ifollow a few times last season on my phone but I read on here that a few people had issues with it during the pre season friendlies...
Is it all ok now as I don't want to invest in buying todays game only to lose my temper a throw my phone for a burton in anger with the stream pausing all the time...😂😂
Also anyone know if you can watch it on the firestick?

The friendlies were on InPlayer. The two cup games were on iFollow and there was no issue with them at all. If you do have any problems they are quite quick to help out. Safari doesn't work very well so if you are using a Mac use Google Chrome.

I thought all the games were on ifollow even pre season ones.

I follow for me. As a ST holder and a pensioner at that, it's a really good deal for me. As I have a two hundred mile round trip to games I'm saving a fortune compared to claiming back the small amount I would be due and on top of that I get to see all the home games and for a tenner all the away games. What's not to like? Have to say though I can't wait to get back to the dump that is the Mem, although when that will be is anyone's guess. UTG!

Call me old fashioned, but I’ve a feeling I’d be coming off second best in that deal! I was saying just the same to the misses yesterday. I think if they bundled the away games in aswell and made it a decent deal it would be much better than trying to pocket extra money each game for nothing. I think the club needs to clarify if the refund stands on a per game basis rather than having to commit to watch every game on iFollow now for the foreseeable future. If it's all or nothing it makes sense to take the refund to pay less for more flexibility.

Away games on iFollow are difficult to manage given they are controlled by the home side, this offer seems easy to understand, you commit now to watching every game on iFollow or you ask for a refund this week. if your an adult stand season ticket holder then PAYG on iFollow seems a cheaper option, particularly if we keep losing and you find something better to do on a Saturday/Tuesday! I guess the club are just hoping most s/t holders take the iFollow option so they at least have some income.

This is why I didnt renew our season tickets. Pay for three sesson tickets, or, pay for one ifollow pass on a game by game basis 🤔
Guess it depends on what people think is likely in terms of a return to actually going to the ground, but looks pretty unlikely to me, and the idea of full capacity and therefore no ifollow must be near to zero.
