The last time we won the opening league game was in 2011. Think that was the first for a few years as well.
We have lost the last four opening day games.
Atleast we have a nice easy game today to try and end that run! Think we would all take a boring 0 0 draw now.

Fairly certain that Garner has been disguising our attacking potential and our cement like defensive wall. It will be unleashed today, resulting in a 1-4 victory for the boys in blue and white. You read it here first.

It's kinda two way here for me....
To address the OP which I think brings up a good point, it's nice to get off to a good start, but last 4 seasons have been losses.
If we (as expected) lose today, it's a venue we had best get out the way early..
If we get anything else, its a bonus.

It does not help that Balloon Fiesta or not the powers that be 90% of the time give City a home game and us a difficult away game. As we rarely win the first game it is probably a good idea to get one of the tough away games we are very unlikely to win out of the way! Far better than playing say Rochdale at home and losing!

You can get it on prescription if you are over 65
