Noticed the Government have given the go ahead for up to 1000 fans to attend EFL matches this weekend.
So who's going.

Only a limited amount of applications will be approved for the trial and the club has until tonight to apply which it is yet to do. So at the moment, not any of us.

I can't understand the decisions the Government are making at present, one minute we're being told we can't meet more than 5 other friends/family members, next they are content for 1,000 of us to attend a football match.
So what is most viable for Rovers, to just still give all s/t holders iFollow passesz or open the ground for a 1,000 s/t holders and incur all the extra expenses that will no doubt bring?

It seems to be happening more and more that the government contradict themselves with rules. I don't blame anyone for breaking them anymore. Back on topic ill happily go back given the opportunity. I've got no hope of streaming anything with a rural internet connection. Living in the middle of nowhere makes me less of a risk to attend as well I'd have thought.

It is confusing, however, I guess that they can control social distancing within an organised event, as opposed to people gathering together on a casual basis.

I think that depends on how much beer they are allowed to drink.

Not a single spectator has contracted Coronavirus while watching an EFL or Premier League match in person since March. Therefore it must be safe.

I'll happily attend if invited. I renewed my ST the first week they were available, so hope that gets me some priority!

Interesting one, if I was in Bristol I’d probably consider going. But Rovers isn’t Rovers without the crowd for me.
I’d rather someone else take my place who needs their Rovers fix more than I do

Can you really see our stewards keeping fans apart on the terracing?

Can you really see our stewards keeping fans apart on the terracing? Maybe they won't use the terracing, and will limit the number to how many they can fit in the stands, whilst complying with social distancing. I've got a feeling we either won't apply, or will not be approved.

Let 1k punters in to watch game = £? cost to club Let those same 1k continue to watch game on iFollow = £0 cost to club
No brainer

Seems completely illogical to set a 1000 limit when the grounds can hold anywhere between 5k and 35k people.
