Seriously?
Ayunga is a prospect who could be the next Jason Roberts or the next Nathan Blissett. Hanlan isn’t a goal scorer. Gillingham rated him as a decent winger with good skill but not anything like prolific and not a number 9 by any stretch of the imagination.
Today, we could have played all night and not scored. With the team set up at it is, we would need someone who is going to take almost every chance they get as we only look like creating one or two half chances a game. If this isn’t rectified we are not going to score goals. If we don’t score goals we will go down.

Hanlan has only played two games. Bit harsh to write him off as not being a goalscorer just yet, especially when he's got hardly any service in either game.

I’m not saying he’s not a good player. I’m saying he’s not a number 9. You can usually trust the supporters of a club when they unanimously agree on something as the Gillingham fan base have on Hanlan. Tricky and wasteful are the adjectives that come up most frequently.

And that is exactly my point. We are not going to create much, based on the last 3 games so we desperately need a rethink. Playing without a clinical goalscorer compounds that.

Ayunga is a project. Hanlan is a project. Daly is a project. JCH is the finished article.
That’s a problem, IMO.
