We are missing experienced no10 in the form of a Ellis Harrison type,, to play in jml place As he is far more affective outwide
Also a tough tackling midfielder to play at 7 then I believe we will be ok
Ps Harrison on bench again today hasn't started this season

We certainly shouldn’t be playing JML in the middle , he was one of our only few shinning lights last season after GC left, always running at people out wide. Ogogo is the kind of tough experienced player we need in the middle and if Garner doesn’t like him then he needs to find one similar but hopefully better. Grant from what I’ve seen so far is not a ball winning midfielder and he’s young and inexperienced. I’m hoping Davies will be a player for us who can play off the big man ( I prefer Ayunga to Hanlan so far) , but overall I feel we’ve got a coach who’s trying to be manager and we lack experience and toughness throughout the squad other than keeper and Centre defence. This current squad haven’t got a nasty bastard attitude and you need that to be successful in the lower leagues unless you’ve got by far the best players technically and we haven’t.

We did have a couple of players who could fulfill the role of nasty bastard. Both sadly surplus to requirements. Tony Craig surely had another season in him if carefully managed. That guy knew a thing or two about defending and Kilgour, for one, benefitted enormously from playing alongside Craig. In the middle of the pitch we still have Ogogo on the books. Apparently he is deemed so surplus he hasn't even got a squad number. God knows what he's done to deserve that treatment......

The windows still open , time will tell.

I got the impression these final 1 or 2 signings we're looking for weren't necessarily being seen as first team starters. I could be wrong but I think BG was originally just looking to add some strength in depth to the squad.
Given how poorly we've performed I hope he now realises without 2 quality signings that improve our starting 11 we'll go down and he'll be out of a job.
We're just lucky the transfer window didn't close before the first game because we've still got a chance to get in the players we need. I've got very little faith in BG but to have any chance these 2 signings need to be VERY good.

Who is Davies, I assume you mean Daly? Tom Davies. But he's a centre half Tilly and the poster is expecting him to be converted into a striker to "play off the big man".

I keep thinking back to the Tutonda signing when his attribute that BG made the most of was Humility and how that would fit in with the rest of the squad. Meek and mild (my words) humility does not cut it in League 1. Please BG at least bring Ogogo back into the squad until you, or if you can't, recruit similar/better.

I am assuming Ogogo and Bennet not having squad numbers is partly due to there now being a limit on size of squad. As manager has said they are not in plans making them part of the squad would stop him signing others at some point. An unfortunate side effect of limiting number of players / wage controls.

The concern I have is with those two on the payroll much needed reinforcements might not happen.
