Which world cup winner can you remember playing against us?
My first one is sat in the north stand watching Ricardo villa in a reserve fixture in 1981 against spurs. Have we had one since?

Probably quite difficult as England last won it 50 years ago so less players in L1? Also less experience as mentioned in another thread?
Maybe when England win again? We actually may then have them playing for us?
UTG

Bobby charlton for Man United in the league cup 4th round 1-1 at Eastville, 1972 I think? I know there was a bigger crowd at Eastville than for the replay at old Trafford, not many Division three sides can say that against them can they? Happy days UTG

Alan Ball played against us with Southampton, and also played for us at the end of his career.

Don’t think so I saw United vs Barca at Old Trafford 3-3 in 1998. Ribald I was brilliant, 3-1 down at 1/2 time finished 3-3? Not any French? PS Petit was supposed to give me his last World Cup shirt but ...., Guess who scored the last goal in the final? And my favourite score of 3-1

The closest we've come in recent years is probably Edgar David's for Barnet, who has 2 bronze medals at the Euros

Pretty sure than Gordon Banks was in goal for Stoke in a league cup tie at Eastville, the season after Bobby Charlton played against us, as someone mentioned above. I was at both matches.

Was bartehez a winner and in that team? Nah he joined Man U in 2000. Would of been Schmeichel at the end of the millennium after the Champions League
