Sam Frost had tweeted that a scan has shown that he has a hamstring injury and will be out for atleast a few weeks. Leaves us with even less strikers. Will hopefully force us to sign a striker, even if it is a loan signing.

Options always looked limited, even before his injury. Bringing in a new striker surely has to happen now.

But we won’t bring in another striker and this will be used by some as another stick to beat the club over the head with - happy daze.

Only BG can decide if it's worthwhile spending money now on another reserve striker or using Walker and Phillips instead. Although last night showed none of our strikers seem to have the ability to take chances to score.

BG has a way of playing that means the striker will need a lot of energy... some of the 'more experienced' players out there will probably not have the energy levels for our style of play. The likes of Hiwula and others may well fit that style of play and could be a real asset, however they would be asking /demanding much more than Hanlan i would have thought and then that is not something i'd imagine they would entertain. So, if we do sign a striker, i would imagine it would be another youngster on loan, probably from Chelsea and not an experienced chap. Just my opinion though and I am often wrong

BG suggested in his post match interview that Ayunga's injury is certainly a factor when considering what players he'd like to bring in before the deadline. I got the impression we might look to get someone on loan until January.
Could be a similar situation with Rodman and Little. Both sound like they're some way from a first team return.
Based on his post match interview I think we're looking for a right wing back and a striker on short term loans to cover for these injured players.
Not sure where that leaves the talked about deal for a midfielder which has been discussed on here this week.

I wonder if we are looking to get a midfielder in so we can loan Mehew out to get valueable experience in League 2 or Conference

Based on the little I've seen I think Mehew has a bright future but probably would benefit from regular football to continue his development.

It has to be a minimum of the next transfer window. As it's so late this year, January is quite a short term loan anyway??

Garner:
“We’re assessing it (making signings),” the manager said. “Obviously Jonah has picked up an injury, so we take that into consideration now."
“It will be a case of fine tuning the squad now and deciding what we need certainly until January and looking at areas that we think can enhance us, and we will do that.”

That's still 3 months wages to pay, although it does sound like BG's now looking to bring in a striker, if that's only on the back of Ayunga's injury I assume his replacement isn't going to be an experienced striker, not sure whether that's down to BG's decision or just lack of £'s.

Was expecting a young strikers on loan. Over 21 would count towards the squad numbers and the wage restrictions. So that will always be in the manager's mind now, when signing player's for cover. Not sure how many more over 21 year olds we can sign?? Not counted them up recently, but wouldn't be suprised if we are near the limit already.

Not sure what the ruling is exactly on the age of the player's. We have Grant, McCormick, Hargreaves and JML who are all 21. So they count now? Or when they are 22. Plus it's our their age at the start of the season, or do they suddenly count if they have a birthday? Daly is only 20. So currently we only have 2 strikers that count. But we have 9 defenders that count and 3 keepers, if we added all of them. Midfielders I don't know as a lot are 21 at the moment.

Seems to be another that has quite a few injury problems though... He’s moved up to full time training at a much more intense level. I’m not surprised he’s suffered a muscle tear , think it quite common due to the extra training and stresses on his body.
