The thing I want to know is who is funding all the wages at lower league clubs because most owners dont have the funds to bank roll players wages for a month without the club fully operating let alone the best part of a year and + I can see many clubs going bust at Christmas unless the government sort this out and fast! Why the government? It should be the greedy barstewards in the Premier League. But they aren't going to do it with nothing back. Hence B Teams seems the logical solution.

Man Utd and Liverpool plotting mass football overhaul including 18-team Prem, ditching League Cup and EFL cash windfall www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/12901427/man-utd-premier-league-changes-liverpool-efl/Given the idea is backed by Rick Perry, I assume it's probably already a done deal? It seems the Premiership is becoming like the Rugby Union Premiership, virtually a closed shop. At least there's no suggestions of B Teams joining the EFL.

At a glance, the proposal doesn’t actually look that bad. My only changes would be ditching the efl trophy, not the efl cup. Just keep it for the championship, and leagues 1 and 2. Leaving out the premier league. And sticking to the 3 up/down as it is currently

Why ditch either? I assume EFL clubs could continue with both even if the Premiership have no interest in the League Cup. I'd just change the trophy rules so league teams can also play full development teamsz or at least with less 1st players.

The Trophy rules seem a lot more flexible now. Didn’t we make 9 changes for the Oxford game this week?

what the government should suggest to the premier league is that if the efl clubs have to be rescued from taxpayers funds then it will be recovered by an inceased surcharge on tv income going forward . that would bring about a plan very quickly

Give them time, I’d say 3 years, and if the 10 PL teams can vote anything in it may be 2 years. UTG!

They can’t vote anything in to do with the EFL It looks they just get their mate, Rick Parry, to do it for them! When the EFL Chairman is in their pockets you do wonder what hope we've got. How can anyone supposedly looking after EFL club's interests agree that there are two clubs less in the Premiership and also two drop out of the league football itself.

Wael has given more to Bristol Rovers financially than any Bristolian director. He truly loves the club and football and we are very lucky to have him, UTG Probably because he has more wealth than any other directors. The Director you should be grateful to is Geoff Dunford who kept us going when the owners of Eastville put up the rent knowing we couldn't afford it. Brought us back to Bristol, and bought the MEM. The first time we have owned a ground since the mid 1940's. Without him Wael would be at Swindon, or somewhere like it
