Right? And? Where in that article does it say the government have the power to control the organisation of the football league and whether B teams are entered? In fact where in that article does it say the government have any power over any potential financial bail out by the premier league? It doesn't. Because they don't. "The Premier League has been warned it could face a government levy on broadcasting deals if it fails to improve a rescue package offer for the English Football League." www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/10/16/premier-league-warned-government-could-impose-levy-tv-deal-payments/BOOM BOOM

Where in that article does it say the government has any input on the structure of the league? Where in that article does it say the government controls the bail out package? It doesn't. Find the quote that says the government controls the structure of the league. You can't because it's not there. Find the quote that says the government have any control over the bail out package. You can't because it's not there. Because the FA is a private institution and the government has no power to control private institutions. The way the government can TRY to influence the decisions of private institutions is by raising taxes or "levies". Which IS what this article says. Completely different to what you were suggesting. No boom awarded. Goal kick to me. Play on.

All I said was "I can't see" I've never suggested the Government has any direct control, although potentially imposing a levy looks pretty much like indirect control now in any event.

You said: There's no real evidence the majority of the Premiership clubs are supporting Man C's views, or the Government will let the Premiership force it though. in relation to B teams entering the league. The government has no power over B teams entering the league and the article you "boom"ed makes absolutely no suggestion that they do. You've seen the words "government and "premier league" in a headline and just made up what you think it says ... as usual.

I can't see anybody is even mentioning B Team anymore, it wasn't even mentioned in the recent Project Big Picture, this is all about EFL clubs getting money to survive this season from the Premiership, where an MP now claims the Government is prepared to act to ensure that EFL clubs get a far deal. Only time will tell if the Government can have an influence.

Considering a £1.2B bail out to 'culture', and that these are also made to registered companies with a lowered income, I'd say football deserves a boost. That being said, I'm sure the government would rather Man Utd bail teams out instead of writing their own cheque.. Capitalism at its 'best'
