I'm really happy with this! Good signing and one I wouldn't have thought of.
Been on the Charlton Fans Forum and surprised they're not to bothered about him going out on loan to a league one rival.

I can hear beeping. Must be Richie reversing the Promotion Bus out of the garage. It's your alarm clock.

I told my wife straight away we'd signed him when I read the official website! (I didn't get a reply. I didn't expect one). I think... we lost 2-1 at home to Walsall a few years ago under DC and Oztumer ran the show! Think I'll tell my wife again that we've signed Erhun Oztumer! Hang on...

Okay people! Following that signing, in preparation for the deadline I thought I'd check our squad: Goalkeepers: Jordi van Stappershoef Alexis Andre Anssi Jaakkola Liam Armstrong Defenders: Michael Kelly Tom Davies Josh Hare Max Ehmer David Tutonda Alfie Kilgour Mark Little Cian Harries Luke Leahy Jack Baldwin Midfield: Thomas Mehew Lucas Tomlinson Ed Upson Ben Liddle Zain Walker Alex Rodman Cameron Hargreaves Zain Westbrooke Abu Ogogo Joshua Barrett Josh Grant Luke McCormick Erhun Oztumer Attackers: Sam Nicholson Brandon Hanlan James Daly Jayden Mitchell-Lawson Jonah Ayunga NOTE: this is not so much as a formal prediction; I'm just entertaining possibilities of who I think could leave Perhaps I may have forgotten someone or added someone unjustifiably but oh well, from my count we have 4 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 13 midfielders and 5 attackers. Giving us a total of 32 players. So I think we'll probably remain with 5 attackers. In terms of midfielders; I think Ogogo will go, he's clearly not wanted. Perhaps Upson might go too. Although regaining fitness I could see Josh Barrett being sent on a loan move, and given Oztumer has been added to the First Team squad on the website and Ben Liddle hasn't yet I would say that's probably indictive that he'll be sent out, or be in the development team. I also think Walker and Tomlinson especially will spend most of the season in the development team. I could see Hargreaves getting sent out on loan perhaps to League 2 or the Conference, but I think we'll see Mehew pop up here and there. If I had to guess I would say that leaves us with around 8 or 9 midfielders. Of our defenders I think we may sign that lad from Cardiff, whatever his name is. I think we'll probably see either Kelly or Leahy leave, probably Kelly. I also think we could see a surprise release or to be sold in someone like Davies, he was fantastic when he joined but I think his injury record is truly shocking at this point. I would say that leaves us with around 8 defenders. And I think we could see both Alexis leave on loan and Armstrong spend most of his time with the development team. That would leave us, by my count. With around 25 players. I think it'll be very interesting to see who departs, who stays, and who plays. I would say something though, if, god forbid, Garner is unsuccessful here. I think as a manager you couldn't really ask for a nicer squad to start with. I think we're stacked. I would imagine there are around six players within the list that BG would probably want to see the back of if he could. Little, Davies, Kelly, Upson, Rodman, Ogogo - possibly costing the club circa £800k per annum. I can’t see any of these players featuring much, if at all in league matches unless there are exceptional injury issues. There may be a question mark over one or two others as well. I agree, although Little appears to be a first choice defender when he's fit, so I doubt he'll be going anywhere.

Ben's made reference to Little and Rodman being part of the senior management group on several occasions, so I don't think he'd want to lose their experience just yet. Also, they can both do a good job on their day - shame about the fitness problems at the moment.

Appreciate all comments regarding not getting carried away...however this has been our best transfer window on paper in recent memory in regards to quality of players. Only Garner can prove whether he has got the squad balance right with results. Exciting times either way. UTG Only thing I’m not sure of is up top and that could be the difference between us making it and breaking it this year. We look very strong though. I agree, perhaps just one more “out and out” striker then we couldn’t be better equipped!

Good signing on paper and from what I have seen of him too. A fresh start could be good for him. He knows he probably is not wanted at Charlton and will now be playing for his future, maybe with us! So hopefully we see the best of him.

Charlton have just signed Andrew Shinnie from Luton. Very good signing at this level. Was brilliant in their promotion season and scored against us during it too.

Video below shows what he is all about in one game. Composure, awareness, technical, out of the ordinary, control and creativity. Bolton he admits was a mistake as he was told by Parkinson they would play a more passing game to suit his style but it was long ball. Chartlon maybe the step up was too much but if truth be known Bowyer probably wanted him to do the defensive work which is not what he is about. As long as you got a player who will do that (Grant) then you let this guy do his talking in the final third. twitter.com/wfcofficial/status/790521802619584512?s=21

I really hope he can get a good partnership with Hanlan. Hanlan is big and strong although not brilliant at shooting but with Oztumer's knack of knowing where the goal is ....maybe we have solved our goalscoring problem!

We haven’t had that kind of player in a long time.
