So, we kept the same 11 for 4 games, I believe. A lot has been said that clubs need to use their squad more this season with 11 midweek games. So, is BG going to start the rotation on Saturday with Hull coming on Tuesday or is he going to be reluctant to change anything as the team are winning games ?
I reckon, he'll make just one change with McCormick rested for Otzumer.
Anyone here against squad rotation for this season ? I think BG should especially as he's assembled such a good squad of 20 + players. I'd be happy to see, selectively, Nicholson, JML, Koiki, Kilgour, Upson and, when fit again, Ayunga, Rodman and Little start some games.

I think rotation is inevitable and I will be interested to see the bench on Saturday as that is where it may start.
After the Walsall game i said 60% were not ready ,by that i meant some individuals were not ready for 46 games, however we do have IMO have a squad ready for 46 games.

I think the biggest point is that if we choose, or are forced, to rotate we wouldn't be seriously impacted. Apart perhaps Hanlon.

Oh, Jaakkola being out would massively impact us too I think.

Think it will take a while before we are in a position to seamlessly rotate players, strikers need to be playing week in and week out to keep sharp and build understandings, same with back 4, think Reilly was one who suffered through not getting a decent run of games, think it will come and think the one area we could afford to rotate would be midfield, IMHO you usually have a good idea by 1/2 time if something is working or not and making change then enables you to give others a chance, good that we have all these options though and coaches need the very best man management skills to keep every one happy.

BG suggested Barrett needed to play in a U23 game before he could be considered but they never seem to play a fixture, although he's going to do well to get past Nicholson and JML just to get a place on the bench. I'd imagine Ayunga is still a few weeks away from being fit.

I still think players have to earn the right to play with their performances. Kilgour, Kelly and Leahy would seriously weaken the starting team as was proven in the first few games-Kilgour was absolutely dreadful and struggles to play the way Ben plays. It is good to see the energy that the present players are showing. Midfield is our strongest area as regards numbers and it is a shame we didn't sign another striker as that is our weakess area as regards numbers. If players cannot play two games a week then; in my opinion; they are in the wrong job.
