Can't see Trotman getting fit in time for Tuesday, which is a shame as I think we could have really done with him for this one.
My team would be:
_____________Mildenhall___________ Lockyer__McChrystal__Parkes__Brown Leadbitter___Mansell__Sinclair__LDV _____________Taylor__Blissett______
Their left winger Lee Cook is a big threat, so I'd play Leadbitter ahead of Lockyer to solidify that side of the pitch. Also Leadbitter will provide pace down the flank.
Flip of a coin between Taylor/Goldberg for me.

Leadbitter had a nightmare at Barnet early in the season so I can't see DC doing that

I'd be happy with your team watg but suspect that Monkhouse will get the shout over Ledbitter. Your logic is pretty good though.

Seeing as Leadbitter didn't even make the bench yesterday it be a bit of a turn up if he comes back into the starting 11 on Tuesday, particularly at the expense of one DC's favourites in Monkhouse. Assuming everyone is fit I can't see the starting 11 be changed.

Leadbitter had a nightmare at Barnet early in the season so I can't see DC doing that I'm not sure if this is correct. The game was pretty much already lost when he came on as sub in the second half, both goals already conceded. I don't think he had much of an impact but think other players that night had more of a nightmare than him.

I'd like to see Goldberg given a go,simply because Taylor is absolutely useless.

Agreed Monkhouse is likely to start over Leadbitter.
This might be a close fought game and Barnett are not goal shy. We might have to score 2 or 3 to win. I think I would give Goldberg the nod to start but think DC will start with Taylor.
Also hoping LDV is fit to start. Wasn't it a knock which lead to his substitution on Saturday?

Yeah, unchanged for me. I'd like to see Balanta come on, could be the difference later in the game.

Your recollection is correct he came on for Tom Lockyer after the damage was already done.(including Tom's teeth!) With or without Akinde their pace will cause our back 4 problems tomorrow.

To be honest he probably uses the ball better than anyone other than Sinclair , just not in front of goal. His movement off the balls probably better than anyone else too.

Goal in one game, assist in the next, I'd start Taylor but bring Goldberg on earlier than Saturday

McCrystal had a nightmare at Barnet. I can still remember him falling over and handling the ball whilst on the ground and getting caught for pace time and time again. Trotman was awful too but it was his first game. Not many played well that night and Puddy gave them their second goal. Leadbitter actually played well when he came on after Lockyer had to go off for what I thought was a sending off challenge from Akinde. I might be inclined top go with Leadbitter tomorrow night because of the general pace of Barnet so as Tom Lockyer can play in the middle (assuming Trotman will not make it) My team
Mildenhall
Leadbitter Lockyer Parkes Brown
Mansell Sinclair
Balanta Goldberg Blissett Della Verde
Subs Taylor Preston or McCrystal Clarke Harrison Monkhouse

Genuinely interested to know what fans of Taylor keeping his place think....
1. Sooner or later something will click and he will start taking some of his many scoring opportunities.
or
2. You accept he is not (and never will be) a goalscorer but his all-round level of performance warrants a place in the starting XI.
