Devon White? Don't remember him picking the ball up in his own half and running at defenders.
Reminds me more of Jason Roberts - head down, bustling through on his own, defenders bouncing off him, on his way to goal!

Wonderful attitude, wish they all had the same, but the rest of the team were better last night. Doesn't matter how technically gifted we are if we don't 'want it' we ain't gonna win anything. I hope the new manager instils that in them. The wanting it and the passing it forwards were the two big positives for me last night. The negatives were defence still looks shakey and our reserve keeper looks like an outfield player playing in goal. Good game though . Yes he was, our defence doesn't compare at all to Craig, Davies and Kilgour coached by GC. Though I think they will be a little less nervous when Ansi comes back.

I really like what I have seen so far ... play to his strengths and he will score plenty!! Needs a partner alongside him for sure.... I'm liking the pairing of Hanlan with Daly. Nicholson somewhere behind in support. 💪

The one criticism fans had of Hanlan was his scoring record, well he seems to be putting that to bed , he is proving to be a very good signing, best of BGs tenure, getting to be a real handful, up the Rovers! Gillingham fans said he had a good all round game, until the final pass/shot and that he needs ten chances to score. Can't recall him missing too many easy chances. So hopefully he has improved that aspect of his game. He has missed several 'sitters' but the good thing is he keeps getting in the right positions to score so he will improve his ratio in due course. We just need to create the chances for him in the first place and I believe we have a 15-20 goal a season striker in him.

He missed a header before, had one cleared off the line that he should have scored and had a weak shot at the keeper, what I can remember. None of them were sitters though?? Certainly not missed loads??

It has been a long time since I have seen a Rovers player score after a run from the half way line

Quality player and another great find in the JCH mould by Tommy Widdrington, if he carries on like he has started he won't be here too much longer so hopefully Tisdale can make the most of him whilst he's here!

It has been a long time since I have seen a Rovers player score after a run from the half way line I saw Alsop do it away at Wigan. Eventually the ball bobbled up, hit his knee and went in I remember Cureton doing it too, on his first or second home match, and he was out wide

Hanlan is coming on in leaps and bounds. Sadly, he won't be here for long. It will be a challenge for the club management to maximise his transfer fee when he eventually departs to a better club.

What's the Hanlan song please ? Agree with o p and long may it continue! I'm not very good at songs and all that, but what better compliment than just replacing 'Johnson scoring goals' with simply, Hanlan?

I find it a bit concerning that he’s only on a two year deal to be honest. Hanlan’s not the finished article yet IMO, but when he does unlock it and really gets into his stride, we’re going to want the security of a long contract on him and at the moment we won’t have that. I hope that contract negotiations with him for an extended deal start fairly soon, as we don’t want to end up with a situation reminiscent of Billy Bodin’s departure where we end up selling the player well below his true value as he doesn’t have much left to run on his contract.

Don't think that one's for us, he's wearing blue and white stripes so that's possibly for Sheffield Wednesday. I have a feeling the goal I'm thinking of might be 4:48, but I remember it being more spectacular than that. My memory must have glamourised it a little!
