Just seen he was attacked by three men on Saturday night when picking up a meal near his home in Cobham. Apart from a bloody nose he managed to fight them off and stopped them pinching his watch and wallet. I think it's safe to say they picked on the wrong man there.

Pretty sure I’ve heard players in interviews before talking about this sort of thing going on quite a lot to get in the heads of other players. Think it was Lee Mansell but he’s got form! All seems a bit wrong to me but hey ho!

Sorry to read that about Browner, as he said, lucky they didn't have a knife in this day and age. Not the sort of thing you expect to happen in Cobham.

Steven will mark him down for holding onto the takeaway too long

Hope Browner's fine.

I'm aware of that, much bigger pickings than Browner around there. 10 incidents of Theft from Person in 12 months seems quite low to me, I'd imagine that house break-ins are more of an attraction.

Maybe we should have an ex-players thread: www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cureton-tisdale-bristol-rovers-manager-4729657Jamie Cureton tips Paul Tisdale for success at Bristol Rovers and reveals dreams of Mem return Bristol Live spoke to Jamie Cureton about new Bristol Rovers boss Paul Tisdale and what he will bring to the Gas Cureton, now closer to his 50th birthday than his 40th, is still lacing his boots as player manager of Enfield in the Essex Senior League. The 45-year-old has also spent time coaching at Arsenal’s academy, and is eager to make the jump into the professional game as a coach. The idea of a return to the Mem, the city where he was born and a club where he scored 79 goals certainly piques Cureton’s interest. “I would love to,” he said. If there was ever an opportunity to come in at any capacity, I would jump at the chance to get back in the pro game. “If Tis ever needs a striker coach, or a coach in general, I’d be more than interested.

I never get what compels footballers to grab other footballers genitalia on the football pitch. If the aim is to assert their masculinity or to get in their head, it seldom succeeds. Strange behaviour.
