Regardless of expectations against a pretty lowly ranked Darlington team, I think everyone would have taken a 6-0 win today, especially considering some of our previous cup embarrassments.
Thought there were no bad performances, at least from the starting XI today, and any comfortable win regardless of opposition will boost the mood in the squad. Thought Ben Liddle played very well for his debut and looks a promising young player. Oztumer getting off the mark will give him a good confidence boost, so hopefully we can see more of what he is about now. Also thought Kilgour looked very comfortable when he came on, albeit against a side that didn't cause too many problems despite a couple of good stops from Anssi.
Any big win and cup run will give the players a boost, much needed after a painful last couple of weeks. Hoping for a big draw tomorrow night, UTG.

I’m not sure I’d go as far as saying that all the starting 11 played well today. There were a few moments defensively that a side at our level would have exploited, and I’d probably swap our defence from last season in a heartbeat. Going forward we played well though and it was great to see us make an impact on a non-league side in the cup like that after slipping on a banana skin or failing to make an impact since we’ve been back in the league at least.

Not many positives for me today - we looked at best League Two standard for most of it.

We got through it, looked better second half, still not perfect as first twenty looked slow and lethargic. Warming to Paul no bluff and BS, onto Wednesday and steve Evans 😁

Some people are never satisfied. If we had scored eight you would still have the moaners. For God same give the team some credit. We are a league 1 side and a very young one at that, so get behind them and be a little more positive. I have been a critic of the team in recent weeks, but today I saw a lot of positives. We attacked a fairly solid defence with a good amount of pace, something not seen in recent times and at times looked verygood. Get behind them.

Well said Meldrew. We have played many worse non league sides than Darlo over the years and struggled and indeed lost. Some people like to moan and criticise more than give any praise.

You only have to look as far as Chorley on Saturday, beat a Peterborough side who we didn't even get close to. They're in the same division as Darlington but even lower down the table.

I can already think of 3, we scored 6 goals, we’ve reached the third round (a feat rare for Rovers) and we’ve avoided a cup upset in front of the cameras. No complaints from me about that performance.

Garners boys come good -Need to win Wednesday against League Opposition Can't believe this. It was bloody awful. We don't know how to pass, and the defence must give our keeper nightmares. As for scoring 6, well Darlington gave us 4/5 of them. This team is only kids, but it doesn't stop them looking the worst team since we dropped out of the league. And I don't blame the kids either. This is all down to the appointment of a joker as manager, and who was shown to be unable to manage. I just hope Tisdale can sort it out in January and get some experience into the side. That can be started by bringing back Ogogo.

Defence was still opened up far too easily but a very good performance from an attacking perspective, something I haven't been able to say in a loong time. Onwards and upwards! UTG

If I was you I’d find a new interest, maybe just not join the Samaratins.

They have won their last few games as well. Chorley are a lot worse and they won at Peterborough. I would have took any win today. Cup shocks happen all the time. It's hard to believe that anyone is unhappy after a 6 0 win 🤣. Seems like you just want to moan about anything to do with the club at the moment.

I genuinely cant believe I'm seeing phrases such as bloody awful and we were terrible after we've won 6-0. As Tisdale rightly said it wasnt perfect and for half an hour we weren't good but we certainly weren't awful and could easily have scored more than we did. Of course there's plenty still to improve on and nobody is getting carried away with today but let's give a bit of credit where it's due. Darlo had beaten Swindon and we all saw what Chorley did yesterday, a potential banana skin successfully avoided maybe we should just look forward to taking some confidence into Weds and seeing who we get in round 3.
