I guess if you really want to show a 'giant killing' (Prem team beaten by a team below the championship) our tie has got to be one of the best shots.

Didn't we play them at home a few years back, lost 2-1, I think Clarkson scored for us.
I wonder how many teams we've never played in the FA Cup? Of the top clubs I can't remember us playing Man C, or lower down, Sheffield W.
Teams we've been drawn against the most - City? Certainly in the 50's, 60's and twice in the 80's.

Rovers have only ever lost once at home to Sheffield Utd which was 2012 in an FA cup match. We have never lost at home to them in a league match.

I remember going to see us v Sheffield United at Eastville 40 years ago. It was the last game of the season. The blades brought loads of fans and ambushed our coach chucking bricks and fighting with the tote Ender's. Frightening for a youngster

Don't think we have ever played Man C in the cup. I'm not surprised you can't remember us playing Sheffield Wednesday as the one and only time we did was in 1906 !! Weren't we drawn against City two years on the trot in the 80s ?

The blades brought loads of fans and ambushed our coach chucking bricks and fighting with the tote Ender's. Frightening for a youngster 1977, we walked in as usual from Muller Road and couldn’t believe the numbers they had brought for a pretty meaningless game. They asked directions to the nearest pub so I helpfully pointed up Muller Road - must have had a long walk!

We haven't beaten Sheff Utd since the Eastville days of 1983..
What a perfect time to break that record.

Maybe limited crowd for it by January, only those that attended the watney cup final, anyone else still alive? I reckon something like half the current (as in last season) West Stand was there. I was nearly 20 and am probably below average age of the season ticket holders that occupy 100% of the West Stand. There may be a few gaps this season but will we ever find out?
