I think having a thread that’s lasted 2 pages on what a prick Karl Robinson is just goes to show how many regular posters we’ve got on here. No mid week game and no game this Saturday but still plenty to talk about. UTG Up the Gaschat. Oh and yeah he is a prick.

Trouble is his mouth has usually completed half a dozen sentences before his brain has realised it’s escaped supervision again.

Well it all depends how our squad contracted it doesn’t it? If one of them has been taking the water in regards the guidelines then Robinson has got a point - we haven’t been following the protocols, end of story. But he can’t possibly know that so he’s out of order for suggesting that that’s why we have an outbreak. As a previous poster said if players have kids then that’s the most likely vector of the virus getting into the squad.
However if players have been found to have recklessly brought the virus into the football realm I agree with punishments for cancelled games, not easy at all to prove though so I don’t expect much to be done just fixtures re-arranged. Sunderland is an interesting case because they seem to have had known cases and yet still went ahead and played so Robinson should be having a go at those who broke the protocols by *not* cancelling as well as those who did.

Shameful comments, clubs are already struggling financially because of Covid and the guy is asking for point deductions. Possibly due to his side not exactly flying this season.
I am hoping that the game is postponed late enough we could all be back in the ground or certainly larger numbers than the accepted 2000.
If delayed till March say, could be giving the Snake and little Lee some. Little Lee won't know what has hit when he is in dugout in front our fans.

How strange ... Talk about London buses In the case of one week that's two whining Scousers moaning that life treats them unfairly. Throw in the Helium infused Hobbit and what a trio of Fools!! ‘‘Tis the season to have a pop at Bristol Rovers” f**k the lot of them, it will happen to their clubs soon. Sunderland, oh wait a minute............... Mr Bellend Robinson is certainly tempting fate.

I don't agree with that. If someone has done that then the player should have the book thrown at them, but not the club. Clubs aren't generally punished directly for the misbehaviour of a player, so I don't see this should be any different. If the club has all the protocols in place and follow them as best they can, then they have done the right thing. All hypothetical of course, coz there's absolutely nothing to suggest anyone has done anything wrong.

It's a virus. If Professor Robinson of Oxford (PHd in bullshit) can prove that the virus was contracted due to some sort irresponsible behaviour then fine the player
Points deduction my arse. Even the dumb asses at the EFL couldn't argue that case.
Another manager under pressure looking at bull sh** to deflect from his own pitiful and somewhat precarious position.
Apparently the ref passed it on.............it's all the refs fault..........

The way we are now playing he should think himself lucky as if the game was on he would have got a hammering

I see where you are coming from, but given the seriousness of spreading it to team mates and the backlog of fixtures on top of backlogged fixtures for me knowing the club is liable puts an extra motivation on players to “do the right thing”. I’m intrigued by what checks are in place to avoid teams declaring an outbreak just to avoid playing fixtures they would rather postpone until they are in better form. It must be pretty tough for the authorities to prove any wrong doing ironically except for Sunderland who seem to have been caught playing a game whilst they knew they had an outbreak.

It's an irresponsible public comment to make. People have sadly passed away from covid and all he (and others) can seem to do is turn it into a political project to suit their own ends in an uncompassionate way. If you change the word "covid" to "cancer" it would show him up for the idiot he is. I don't think it's unfair to campaign for him to have his @sshole sewn up to stop him speaking more sh!t.. You do not even need to change the word....

He needs to worry weather he’s still manager there when the game is played with. There current form.

He is just hoping enough clubs get docked points that oxford dont get relegated and he keeps his job. He should be grateful he is well paid for what the majority do in the world as a hobby.

It’s not just football. The pandemic has brought the worst out of everyone. A new set of rules to pull people up on regardless of context or practical application. Ways you can get people in trouble. Ways you can shaft your customers and blame the pandemic. Ways you can skive your responsibilities because you’re working from home. Ways you can take full advantage of relief schemes when you don’t need to. I was hoping for a wartime spirit but the modern world is so self centred it’s just yet another excuse for people to be generally rubbish to one another. Whether it’s Kay burley and the assorted high status people (including the person who designed the lockdown strategy) thinking the rules only apply to plebs, or your common or garden bully who’s worked out they can get the giddy thrill of controlling others and being seen to be doing good at the same time. They were the same one reporting dissidents in the Soviet Union, now they can do it if they see two friends in a park who came within 1.9m of each other. And then people who just don’t give a hoot, house parties, secret clubs, demonstrations of all flavours. Why can’t we all just have some common. As for this cretin, those words may be a delicious dish one day, but I hope for the sake of his team and their loved ones, he doesn’t have to eat them.
