Have enjoyed watching all the games, yes a bit of buffering which is annoying, however can get to all the home games but due to childcare struggle to get to away games.
Would be happy to pay £10 for every away match even with the opposition receiving the money, would rather go but it is the next best option, plus if we receive money from away fans unable to attend would be a positive move going forward.
What does everyone think? UTG

I think it would kill away support for a lot of clubs including ours.

I think most who go away do so for the day out ( or even weekend away ), the atmosphere, meeting up with friends, the beer :-) etc. I would watch away games that I would not normally go to on Ifollow, but not convinced I would attend any less away games as a result of being able to do so.

It’s doing its job now, but after Covid clubs need fans back in the grounds ASAP.

I’d quite like to get the away weekends back for doing other stuff. Getting a bit addicted to ifollow

I think away games that are far on a Tuesday night iFollow would be good. But as said before it would kill our away following if available in a regular basis.

I think it would kill away support for a lot of clubs including ours. But would the bigger clubs like Rovers make more income from selling 1,000+(?) iFollow subs per away match? It would seem like turning the clock back if iFollow was turned back off post COVID.

But as said before it would kill our away following if available in a regular basis. how it was before was fine, midweek games on I follow for everyone. It’s strange because I’ve seen every Rovers match this season and that’s the first time I’ve been able to say that in decades but it’s not as good as going to every home match and a handful of aways and watching a handful of mid week aways on I follow. You can’t beat being there. Can’t wait to get back , hopefully first home game of next season , that’s my realistic hope anyway.

Does anyone else think the matchday threads have lost a lot of their purpose a bit since ifollow? There used to be a shared uncertainty between users which always gave them a decent vibe, with inputs coming in from various sources of which most of us completely relied upon. but now they've really just become a commentary of everyone watching ifollow and they've sort of lost their magic....

If you say it has changed since covid it obviously has. Now the matter would be to undestand how this tool could play a part in the football life of a club after the episode of covid has come to an end. now if the epidemic hasn't come to end totally in a year by exemple maybe the question will not be answered until we don't have the need to end ifollow anyway. So if there is a need to forecast a come back of the epidemic i guess the system could structure himself in a way it can be conserved.
For now i just wonder if my subscription of december will be allowing me to see the postponed matchs when they will play.

Who would have thought VPN’s would begin th slow demise I don't want to sound contravertial but I was a bit disappointed with the number of fans who use VPN's to buy the overseas subscriptions.

Midweek games should be allowed for AWAY fans to iFollow at the very least but I suspect a lot of HOME fans live a fair distance away as well so they should also have access. Most people work and have families so ....... Midweek games a definite plus for me wrt iFollow. Bolton, Bury, Sheffield United, Gillingham, etc. midweek away in last few seasons. Our midweek away fixtures tend to be the furthest games we play? Because the EFL in their wisdom don't think many fans will attend? Additionally, Club bars should be allowed to show MIDWEEK away games but charge admission fee as per iFollow and distribute admission revenue as per iFollow but can then make additional money from drinks etc. plus providing an "alternative" and cosier forum for supporters. And keeping facilities in use and staff employed? Up The iFollow UTG

I think ifollow should be an option available as long as COVID is out there and there’s a reasonable possibility that fans might not want to attend even when it’s permitted due to the risk of catching the virus.
Beyond that however it needs to revert back to it’s original format where it was only available to UK viewers for Tuesday night away games when the clubs could agree to it.
Away attendances are a crucial revenue source for lower league clubs that could be greatly reduced if all away games were available to stream.

There will be nothing stopping football fans traveling to away games even if they are shown on iFollow. I wonder what conversations took place when live commentaries were first allowed on R Bristol etc, given that iFollow is really the next step on from radio commentaries.

Yeah, but people got to football to 'watch' football, so comparing the implications on attandance of radio and TV coverage is not really viable....

Aye, I’m sure th Prem an Sky said th same in th early 90’s. IMO live streaming will do nothing but reduce attendances.
